Thank you, Eric, for clarifing that, as it should be.

Maybe you are my lost Brother from Italy????

BTW, wish I had known that you reside in LV. I was there in March and would have looked you up.

You are welcome.  I had no intent to impersonate you or anyone else.  I just used a username that I have used on other sites.

Stranger things have happened, and I love italian food.

Maybe we will meet at Connections later in the month, if you are going (I hope to meet any of you guys that are there).

The very best & Good Fortune to you too;
Eric Valentine

Rotovac 360 Hard Surface Head

This is an area in my mechanics bay that is real world soiling on concrete and never gets cleaned as often as we would like it to be. To be more than fair the portable carpet cleaner used was a small rental with 60psi water pressure and only 130 inches of water lift.

The ease of cleaning was excellent compared to mopping. I feel it took longer but remember I am cleaning with 100% pure water + detergent and not mop bucket recycled dirty water. I was impressed but if I was doing it for a living I would want to speed it up by using a portable with much higher suction or a truckmount.

I bought a rotovac 360. 20 days ago and I ordered one more today. The machine is incredible, clean fast and leaves the carpets moist, also clean tile and grout super good mine has the new clear and orange ring to keep the over spray at bay. The only thing that need to be inproved are the teflon shoes, every time you work along edges the nails from the tack strips wear out the teflon shoes. I did cover the shoes with stainles and it seems to work better. Probably it need a harder teflon material for the vacuum gliders.

No, what it needs are real Teflon shoes, and not nylon as these are made of. Real teflon has the ability to self heal the scratchs it gets, whereas nylon does not. It just splinters instead. Rotovac's idea to fix this is to cover the nylon over with SS covers. 6 months or less down the road they will find that this too was a mistake as the SS covers become scratched, and start to abraid peoples carpets in the homes and business they operate in.

They should have come to the real HARRIS RESEARCH in CALCARY and saved themselves time and money and got it right in the first place.lol

No they didn't Steamer. What did you think I was talking about when I said SS up above(Stainless Steel). That was the covers I was talking about. In addition, steel has greater drag than even nylon, so the 3 amp motor is likely now not going to last as long in use for anyone that does not make the switch to teflon glides after buying it.Some purchasers have told me it was under-powered with the nylon skids as it was. the extra drag of Stainless Steel will only make things worse in my opinion, because each stratch in it increases drag.

Amazing thing about this post is it is approaching near 5000 views. It is by far the most viewed thread about a post put up about a single piece of equipment in the nearly 3 years the KK board has been in existance. That tells you that alot of people want this machine, but have just not been given a compelling reason to get one yet. I hope to help change that soon by getting a set of the new teflon glides over to Ted next week so that he can demo the improved performance this machine can now have.

Ted; remember this?

If this does not revolutionize our industry I will eat my hat, on video, on this site.

Did you end up doing this? If so, I missed it.

Not yet John. Got side tracked making the Titans. i thought it was important to have the world's strongest portables BEFORE oil reached $100/barrel. Now that I have done that, and the Titans are selling well, it is back to the glides.
