An innovative and well respected individual, a real loss to the industry, my heart goes out to all those who feel the loss.

I'm sorry for all those who knew him and feel the loss of his passing. I was just hoping eventually to meet him.

I too hope that Jim recovers from this. Having known Jim for 28 years now, I can say that I know few people that are as fine a human being as Jim is.

I am praying for Jim several times a day. I am just devasted by this and i'm not ashamed to admit I have shed tears a few times in the last day. Jim is fun, hilarious, passionate, intelligent and socially conscious. the world is a better place when Jim is living in it. I pray for his recovery.

I have been a employee of Jim Darling for 18 years at Chemspec. He has been a great boss who I truly respect but also a good friend who I could talk to if I had a problem. I hope for a speedy recovery and my thoughts and prayers go to the family and his father ken darling and his wife. The Darling family are first class people who I am proud and honour to work for.
