Im getting a chemspec 860 in a van with 1200 hours. I have been previously using a ninja, so this is a leap up for me. I'd like to know what yall think of this unit. I am thinking this is going to get me more business. yes? no?

obviously marketing but i have lost business in the past to people that dont want to have their house cleaned with a porty for the sole fact that the machine is not as impressive as a big unit thats run out of a van. and i have never gotten a walk up so i was hoping that this step up might bring some of those and maybe some unseen business.  im just excited to be making the step or should i say leap (46 hp nissan, 3000 psi vs. dual vac, 200 psi ninja). Also i see it as a sign i am making good progress with my business, as i am only 22 having started this about 6 months ago.

I have a 860 my self very nice machine, but cmaster is right won't get you more business.  I also have a Prochem Lancer and customers wouldn't know the difference.  If you are wanding the you are wasting you money on the 860 unless you are duel wanding.  You said you are putting it into a van, you will also be giving up a lot of space in you van.  Hope it is at least an extended one ton if not you will wear that van out.  I have a one ton and need to upgrade the suspension  to handle the  weight.

Keep on keepin on !!! It's not the truck mount itself, but what you do with it and your constant efforts to treat each customer as if their referral is the only one you will ever get. ( and it better be good)

What price are they offering?  Is it just the machine and waste tank, or do you get reals?  If you are single wanding you would only run the truck mount at half its speed any more would be a waste.  It would be like buying a race car and driving it in traffic.  How many hours does the unit have on it?  Depending on the price may be better to get something that matches what you need.

PadMan promotes and cleans homes with a twirly-bird buffing machine sitting on a diaper.............and probably makes more money and has & keeps more customers than any other carpet cleaner that shows up with a custom polished silver high horepower contraption monster of a truck .

End result is .........are the carpets clean.........did the cleaner conduct himself like a pro............was he polite, well dressed, well groomed and punctual.

NR is right again.... a smile at the door and eye contact right away is very important...  call the customer by their last name, you'll notice if they like you they will give you thier first name...say it to yourself four times to remember it....

thats winning customers over in 30 seconds.... then it really doesn't matter what you bring in as long as you get the carpets clean!

Winning customers over in 30 seconds LOL............I LOVE IT....................It should be a title to a book .............Mr. Steamer demonstrates that he's been around the block more than a million times over the years , and he's right the first 30 seconds make it or break it for a stranger showing up at your door .

I don't know what kind of cleaner Mr. Steamer is................. but I do know what type of salesman he is.............A PRO
