Dont' forget your MSDS sheets on board..Big%20smile

Just like CCandmore above the same happened to me but he wasnt a cop.. New owner i didnt know..Shocked Had permission from old owner..Big%20smile

SOB said he'd call the cops and sue me in court if i didnt pay him $50 for the illegal dumping.. Call'em i said.. So he did.. I showed all my MSDS's and the cop said you 2 figure it out..

Ended up paying him $20 or he was filing a "illegal dumping charge" against me..Angry

He said this is a car wash not a dump site and he has to answer to the wastewater treatment plant on every chem that goes down the drain..LOL

All the Sodium chloride salt oils anti-freeze and who know what else was on that bay and he was so worried about diluted cleaning chems and dirt.. Shocked

Don't they run cleaning chems through their pressure pumps.. duh!!! Angry

They had hidden cameras.. And he didnt want any ccing services in exchange..Shocked

Shame that some people can't see past their own freakin' noses, glad to see're doing your bit though, JohnLClapper

BTW looking at my last post, I made comments relative to my place of residence in terms of volume;

"But across the city, with another 350-odd guys working, even if their machines use 50% of what I do, that's 157,500litres (41,600 USGallons) or roughly 170 tons of waste water!! And that's just in one day..."

Relate that to a major US city, and you multiply by a factor of 10!! If you were to base it on 1 year in 1 major city, that's 108,160,000 gallons (442,000 tons) of waste water pouring down your streets and waterways. Still say we have no impact on environment if we were to all just drop it wherever we feel like?

Do people who dump their dirty water illegally also make it a habit of farting out loud in a nice restaurant?  The two actions seem to go hand in hand.  Just asking.
Are you in a high paying business or are you just a self employed low paid grunt who thinks this business provides dignity?

if you're using natural products how bad can it be... no worse than washing your car in your drive way, gas/oil spills in the road.

Tokmik, (is that short for Toxic Michael?LOL) the only really "natural products" there are would be what you can pick up off the ground, i.e. naturally occurring elements. Other than that, if it is processed in any way, it's no longer natural e.g. filtered water.

Does it come out of the ground that way? No... it gets filtered then bottled and before anyone says "Perrier" or similar, even that gets filtered these days after the shock of finding that so-called pure water source contaminated with pollutants!!!

PS Bubonic Plague was all natural, a teaspoonful of that is enough to wipe out the population of New York.... still say "natural" is always good?

Got my first big job tomorrow with my TM I aim to bring it home every time and down the sewage drain.

Neighbours have already sussed me out as we have a party drain serving 3 houses and don't want any lint backing up the sht.

Thinking of getting one of those jug filters but someone told me they really screw up airflow?

Those "jug" filters are fine if you keep them clean between jobs.  They are sold on the idea that you can show your client a 'before' and 'after' view of the filter (how much dirt you got out of her carpet).  They also make it easy on your if you suck up some earings or something.
If I can't get it clean then you had better replace it.

Okay, first...for those who think I"m lying....well, bite me, 'cause I'm not.

I don't dump in the street or down the gutter 'cause it's illegal and I can't afford the fine and the bad reputation. Also, I don't want to eat the fish out of the ocean that have been swimming in that stuff (which is where it eventually winds up). I'm not a stickler for the rules and the law, etc., but I don't want the hastle that comes with bucking the system.  I don't need to lose clients, I need to make them happy.

Around here, you can legally dump it down the 'sanitary sewer,' meaning the concrete hole in the ground that goes to the sewer treatment plant. How you do this varies. I have a clean out at my house.  Also, you can dump on a client's property with permission as long as it doesn't run off.  Someone mentioned that it was okay to dump in the gutter 'cause it would run off, just like car wash stuff. Well, that's illegal. You aren't supposed to let soap run off your property either 'cause it'll get in the stream and the fish will eat it and then we'll eat it and get cancer.  You don't want your kids to get cancer, now do ya?

Pump outs are cool but are often broken. They come in handy when you have a full tank and have to keep working and want to dump but don't want to ask the lady of the house.  I take my pump out hose and put it somewhere out of the way, like in the bushes, and just keep working while it pumps out. You have to keep an eye on it 'though as it might pump out enough juice to go down the street....and as you know, that's ILLEGAL.   Just don't dump on her tomatoes....
If I can't get it clean then you had better replace it.
