mr steamer and kien are correct!!!!!  do maybe one of you own a franchise?  which one did you work for?  to be honest i wasnt really looking for an argument just wondering what you have against sears?  i have been there 8 yrs and have many custys i clean for and only i clean for or it doesnt get done!!!  we are not all HACKS as you so called PROS call us.  we do exactly what you PROS do but MORE OFTEN!!!!  yes sears gets us the jobs but they DO stand behind their name if there is a problem.  up here sears doesnt sub out their work.  i do what you do  sometimes better sometimes maybe not as good who knows but in the end we do the same work.  i dont rush the jobs, i move all necessary furn  apply the protection properly, remove as much soil and as many stains as you would.  only difference is i dont pay for gas, chemicals, tools, or repairs!!!!!  and i also make aLOLLOLLOLLOL load of $$$ to do it.

Is everyone missing the point or do you just like seeing sleezeballs post self promoting messages, never coming back because all it amounts to is spam and their trash messages staying on the board rather than someone doing the simple task of killing the thread?

If you like spam, can I sell your email addresses to a few list brokers?  Or is this going to be a broken record about how Sears is not a bad guy outfit despite the fact that they allow these spams to continue, spams aimed at lessening the chances for small business to make headway?

What are your priorities?  Building YOUR business or helping Searsuckers take yours down a notch while building theirs?  Kleenkuip does not stand to make any more promoting sears, Prochem does however.  Anyone here have stock in Sears or Prochem?  Or is most of your stock in your trade?

mr duck and cmster.  i am by no means telling anyone to use sears and am NOT promoting anything for them. i simply work for them thats it thats all.  i get my calls in the a.m, fill my truck with fuel, go do my calls, and go home to a loving family.  i actually work my tail off as you MUST know we do many calls a day.  sometimes its busier than others.  i do them to the best of my ability JUST LIKE YOU.  you should be happy you make more than me!!!!  I make great $$$ but do work hard.  like it was said before everything is supplied for us so yes we actually have no headaches when it comes to other stuff we simply DO THE WORK and make the owners alot of $$$$.  no promoting sears here in anyway from this dude it wasnt me that opened the discussion i simply said we all do the same things day in day out!!  Clap

I wasn't bashing you or Sears and I certainly didn't comment on your work ethics. It's pretty easy to tell that this guy is promoting Sears in Syracuse. Maybe he should post it on some consumer website so it will be read by the intended partiesBig%20smile

In all honesty, max I'll do in a week, and that's if I'm really pushing the limits, is 20.
More often than not however, it's closer to the 10-15 mark, but there aren't enough hours in the day for me to do more!

To anyone doing more than that in a day, I'd challenge the statement that you are doing the best job possible... adequate, maybe and barely that, but I know what my customers say about my work in comparison to others they've tried and it's my attention to detail that wins out; price becomes secondary when the service far exceeds previous experience, as does the result especially when the carpets look/feel/smell better and stay that way for longer. Perceived value is what it's about at the end of the day! So, I work less jobs, but earn more profitable dollars (altho quite possibly less gross amount at the end of the day, it's about the profit, not turnover!) and don't rush myself

I like the idea of spending time on good jobs, earning the $'s there instead of running all over town chewing up expensive fuels and wasting hours behind the wheel of my truck everyday, where I earn absolutely nothing and in fact am losing money rapidly via my truck's tailpipe!

maybe you're short..maybe you carry a small wand...maybe your calls are far apart...everyone works differently and I find the comment in red to be very ignorant.
It all depends on job size and driving distance...is the customer ready for you??? are you ready??? is it an easy set up???

some days I could get through 10 jobs easy but they would have to be empty and close by...ie a string of empty co-ops  or University Housing...I've done up to 17 in a day...with 3 trucks we finish 50 in a day....the other guys did more than I did..but that was the basic pre-spray and extract no spot removal...thats what they wanted..

somedays it takes me 8 hours to do 3 calls...depending on the size, what is required for the job how dirty it is.

You can't put time limit on the work.. you just work to get her done!!!

See above. You are in the wrong business!!!. Go get a job where you can take the bus to and from and stay there for your shift, it is that simple. Clap

f**k me you guys are sensitive LOL

@ now nearly $7.00/USgallon yeah my fuel is expensive and not to be wasted, and why would you want to waste an hour driving between jobs anyway? Time behind the wheel is time wasted I'd have thought.

Spray and suck ain't the best job possible, but if it's what the customer wants I didn't say it wasn't the best standard that you can attain for the job parameters; I just simply don't chase that work. I like to maximise returns on the job I'm at. It's a matter of choice and dunno why you need to get so steamed up about it.

70 jobs side by side in a bunch of units ain't 70 jobs, they're one big one!

And when it comes to running yourself ragged trying to fit in 7 jobs a day, hoping you don't get held up somewhere along the line, getting stressed out when you do, why would you wanna? Taking my time with 2-3 jobs a day is less stressful and easier on the body, let alone more profitable.

Ignorant? Nah, don't think so, maybe pot calling the kettle black?Tongue

Each to their own dude...
