well freshair if you need to drive an hour between jobs...you  need to move your operation to a burb.
I never drive more than 15 mins to my next job...LOL
I route them that way...I book them according to where I'll be...

Yeah right, whatever Steamed-up and Ken's_Not_OK_With_Me

Come to Perth and see how things may be a bit different to the conditions you have in your patch and then post a valid comment.

Still, however you wanna look at it, 7 jobs @ 15 mins ea between jobs = 2hrs of driving per day where you're not earning. My 3 jobs = 1 hr of driving (and I am including travel to and from 1st and last job there), not to mention time wasted in setting up then packing up on 7 jobs vs 3 jobs + quick chat with each customer, with the average job @ $200-250 AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS  (I'll let you work out the exchange given you're so on the ball). Don't know what your average is so I won't comment there, plus our prices are inherently higher given LOCAL conditions.

Start 9.30am, normally finished 4pm-5pm-ish (2.30pm now, home for a bite... to eat that is, before heading off t last one around the corner). Come home today with $650 in my pocket and unstressed and off to visit my significant other for the evening and take day off with her tomorrow (cos I canWink).

Lies you say Ken? No, it's how I market myself... it's not all just about you being right or don't you get anyone else's view point beyond you own?

Man you guys need to take some chill pills and realise that we all have different ways of being, my way being right for me and your way not (for me!). But if you're up for it, go for it. I simply like to enjoy my life and not just work myself stupid- even if you think I have already managed to do thatLOLLOLLOLLOLLOL

People who aint working ..always talk about having clients...clientel....

people who don't know two flying f**ks about cleaning carpet always do the best job.

Ken_is_ok thats why I like you ... tell it as it is..... they can't book 5 to 7 jobs...they are lucky if the clean that in a month.

I don't want to do lots of jobs in a day

But what am I suppose to do if my phone rings and the customer wants it now! or tomorrow...  If I don't book it they will call someone else.

If you can't do 5 jobs in a day with a truckmount..I think there is something wrong with you.

2 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon...

8am first job
10-12 secound job
12-2 third job
2-4 fourth job
4-6 fifth job
loads of space...

How I know guys like freshair know nothing about nothing....because of the bill sh*t he spews here.

if he was smart he would do as much as he could in oneday... leaves more space for more calls... so when a customer calls in they don't have to wait until next week....or they don't hang up and call someone else

but freshair doesn't have that problem...he has no calls...he is a weekend warrior ! him and his butt buddy linty

I like they way you put a dollar amount on your jobs.....we never talked about dollar amount..but you felt a need to inject that into the post...

are you trying to validate something???

a jobs is a jobs big or small...it all depends on the conditions when you get there...some small jobs turn into big money...but we weren't talking about money

No, I'm just trying to put some perspective in there. Like I said, I don't know what it's like there exactly so I wouldn't comment on it, but that's how I operate.

Find that hard to swallow? That's fine, but I'm not the only one here doing things that way. Kinda sad to think that you think you are right and I am such a moron cos I don't do how you do. Trying perspective here so that people can make up their own minds about options and which way is right for them. You have your way, I have mine; mine being an inherently lazy way and yours the harder way as it involves a lot of running around- but that is my opinion, obviously not yours.

As to your comment "I don't want to do lots of jobs in a day. But what am I suppose to do if my phone rings and the customer wants it now! or tomorrow...  If I don't book it they will call someone else.

If you can't do 5 jobs in a day with a truckmount..I think there is something wrong with you."

I used to be the same way and yes, I could polish off 5-6 jobs a day once I bought my 1st truckmount, but I chose to do otherwise and learned to say "NO" to the stuff I didn't really want.

If that's wrong for you, then so be it. Works fine for me though, so I'll carry on spewing my own brand of bullsh*t as you so eloquently put it Clap

Quoting myself... "Don't know what your average is so I won't comment there, plus our prices are inherently higher given LOCAL conditions."

Like I said, dunno what your prices are, but there are mine. Wasn't meant to be a dig at you, why are you taking that way and why izzit that you are so sensitive about it?? And yes, that is pretty much a normal day for me and many of my peers here in this particular part of the planet that we happen to inhabit.

Quoting you...
"8am first job
10-12 secound job
12-2 third job
2-4 fourth job
4-6 fifth job
loads of space.."

my 1st job 9.30am rather than your 8am, last one no later booking than 3.30pm cos I like to be home by 5pm at the latest if I can. Yes I work less, my choice, and don't work weekends, my lifestyle choice. Is that really so offensive to you?

And come to think of it, why is it? You're happy your way, I'm happy in mine. Let others see that there is more than one way of being and make up their own minds.

Or are you too narrow-minded to admit that your way is not the only way??

Hey don't try to push this off on me...  you believe that anyone doing more than 2-3 jobs is not giving quality of service... AND THAT IS SIMPLY NOT SO.

It's also the person physical abitlity...driving distances. etc.

You right it is your choice to do less jobs...
It's your right to only get upper class clientel
I guess if you could book more jobs, you wouldn't be losing customers

my narrow minds sees that

Good advice, you should recognize that as such and just stay out of the threads until you get over your PMS or sober up - you and Ken_Is_NOT_OK.

It's ORY GUN, not OR A GONE. Learn to talk.
