when you clean tile and grout do you have to seal the grout after you're done or is this just an option? i havn't done it before.

 I always do. This way the custy has the satisfaction of knowing you won't have to go in there every month. I always point out to the custy how much easier it is to keep thier grout looking like new and for them to keep clean.
 Plus it also helps to keep the integrity of the grout.
Don't take your organs to heaven.....
Heaven knows we need them here

Hi Rick. Colour sealer is a different animal all together. I've seen one company who advertises that you can "tint" thier sealer to any colour but this makes me nervous.
 I usually buy my colour sealers.
 Colour sealing, I charge almost double for. It's expensive and then there is more work and chems involved and time.
 My back and knees pay the price but the check usually takes the pain away quickly.

You don't have to seal it but in residential it is better if you do.
In commercial it's better if you go back and clean it every month Wink

Sealing is extra. Cost money for the sealer and you're on your hands and knees (some use the grout wand) and you don't want to get it on the tile.
 I usually quote  the price and it for clean and seal.
 Educate them.
