What do most of you do regarding your fresh water supply?  We carry 150 gallons of soft water on the trucks.  If the truck is out all day I have water softeners for both trucks or if we are on alarge I put the water threw the softener.  Soft water is a must with heat exchangers and assists with the cleaning.

I have soft water at my shop...but unfortunately not on the truck...so once I'm out and have to use the customers water......I got a small frog that grew in my tank from well water I picked up ...a few years ago...

Soft water cleans much easier..it leaves the carpet soft fresh and nice...it's the way to clean if you can afford it

Stanley:  Did you send him back home?  After all it has rights in this province.  Do you have to descale your unit often using well water?   Around here it would take about week to shut the unit down because the water is so hard.

Dyna:  I would not reccommend putting anything to your fresh water tank.  Soft water is more important if your unit heats with heat exchangers. I reccommend you carry a water softener.  They are reasonably priced. I got mine from a independent water person.  It is about the size of a Scuba tank.  You just leave the bryan tank at home or your shop.   If you happen to run out I usually would just add enough to finish the job.  The advantage to carring the softener is if it is a big jog just usit.  Or you can refill while you are doing your paper work.  Hope all this helps.

Very hard water here.  Would welcome any suggestion as to where I can get one of those water softeners that are reasonably priced....Been searching, and they are about $500 and up.  I do not carry water on my van.  I use customers water, so I know I need one.  You may also email me at amazingpower2003@yahoo.com.

1st customer of the day I always get my tank filled.

1st bad customer gets my dirty water. No need for soft water here.

Steamdragon the hotter the better.
