Thanks for the replys. I'm a new start up, have a truck mount 3 yrs old that looks great and cleans nice. Just trying to think out of the box on ways to get customers and start doing more jobs.  I didn't think it was that much of a pain to do my car. Mind you all I'm talking about is the carpet in front and back, and four seats. Car detail not included. I'm not talking about cleaning the windows and dashboard or doors just the upholstry and seats. The idea is to get in the eyes of the public and market the house carpet care at the same time.  Have a stand set up for information, business cards, pitch the business and set appointments.

I once cleaned a restuarant and as a favour I cleaned the 3 bosses cars.....1 was a mini van which was a piece of cake.....the other 2 was a nightmare and never did another one.....except my own.....which is a nightmare and P.I.T.A  Oh yeah, I forgot.....I charged them $ 50,00 each and they found it expensive . This was in 1995 I think

There is a guy around here that has a sign at a local car dealership saying he steam cleans car floors for $75. That's just for the carpets, if he does upholstery that is extra. The charge is more for SUV's but I'm not sure what the rate was.

$29 is definitely too cheap and it does take more than 20 minutes to clean the interior of a car. In fact, it's kind of a pain.

I think you should go to a detailer/car wash type outfit and see how much they charge for interiors

pretty sure it's more than $29

I know it takes me more than 20 minutes also

just my thoughts

I'd charge $100 AT LEAST,,,,,,,,,,,,I don't like doing car interiors
A.K.A.

I am interested in doing auto upholstry and carpet cleaning on weekends at a high profile location. Anyone do this? or is there a market for auto upholstry at all? I know I would have loved to get my carpets and seats steamed if I ran into someone set up in a parking lot somewhere. I imaginge most cars can be done in less than 20 min. $29 carpet and seats could be profitable.
