I wouldn't consider Oreck useful for anything. However that is just my opinion. I had many problems with their upright vacs a few years back

I used an Oreck upright vac when I was a janitor as a teenager

That machine will net you about 100-150 square feet per hour, here is a comparison chart on OP machines...
