This post is really for Jim Darling, but I would like to know if anyone else experienced the same.

I was speaking to a supplier here in Quebec regarding EcoGent today and other Chemspec products and the funny thing is that he mentioned to me that EcoGent is not the same anymore since the removal of H.P.

He mentioned that he called Chemspec ( don't know if that's true ) to return what he has on the shelves because his customers are saying that it does not clean as well as before. Some customers accused him of watering it down and he was loosing sales on that product.

Has anyone here used the old formula vs the new formula without the H.P.

I myself never used it so I didn't even know it had H.P in it, or if it was taken out. This came as a surprise to me when we were talking.........what a coincidence.......on another post we were debating the safety of H.P

When we became involved with ECOgent, the first thing we did was take out the Peroxide. That was over 3 years ago. If you have used ECOgent in the last 3 years then your gallon has not had Peroxide in it.  In the concentrate gallon there was approximately 2% peroxide. When diluted at the use dilution the amount of peroxide hitting the carpet was extremely minute.

I think it did work well on lighter colored carpets but the benefit on darker colors was not there. And as you know.....

if you are going to tout your product as green then you can't have an ingredient in there that is not healthy in any amount over 1ppm over 8 hours.

I would also say that the DFC 105, DFC 210 and the soon to be released DFC Heavy Duty Cleaner will all outperform ECOgent any day

Jim

PS. No one has called our office in the last year from Quebec to return any product

Jim, like I said I never used it so I don't know when H.P was there or not.

If the diluted H.P was so minute as you say......then where's the danger to the end user, that's like eating an apple and not the dangerous seeds in the core.

I would just like to know how a productcan be dangerous when it's in our own bodies and being produced there.

Doesn't that baffle your mind, or make you ask questions.

I question everything, H.P is as dangerous in the products we use as the electricity we produce vs the cosmic electricity that already exists.

there is lots of stuff inside your body that is toxic, that's why we wash our hands after we wipe our arse

Not everybody...

Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode.

"Poppy is a little sloppy."
