I RECEIVED A PM FROM SOMEONE THAT HAD A CONCERN REGARDING FLYERS, I WOULD LIKE TO POST HIS CONCERN AND MY RESPONSE. Thanks for the marketing tip. It's actually a pretty good idea, but I'm curious as to what happens with the flyers after printing. You have made a good point about them winding up in the garbage, and I have been hearing from many that they see only 1% return (if that). MY RESPONSE As far as the rate of return from flyers it's a science that defies all common sense, depending on area, city, season, timming and how catchy your flyer is will all have a direct effect to the response factor. Let's take for example, your flyer is the next best thing to sliced bread, but on the day of distribution it's raining, or cold, or just a dreary day............don't wait by your telephone expecting it to ring. The object of getting other companies to piggy-back on your campagne is to cut prices for everybody involved, except they don't know the whole price of your flyer is absorbed by all of them, making yours FREE. Distribution is handled by an outside company or you can hire some school kids to do it @ a rate of 2cents per house ( that's pretty much the rate I think here in Montreal anyway. All these prices are in the total cost shared by all. Flyers work,............. but on the long haul only, you have to send out flyers in this manner.........EARLY BIRD SPRING SPECIAL///// SPRING SPECIAL/////4TH OF JULY OR CANADA DAY SPECIAL/////SUMMER SPECIAL/////POST FALL SPECIAL ( SEPTEMBER ) HALLOWEEN SPECIAL/////PRE-CHRISTMAS SPECIAL OR END OF SEASON THANK YOU SPECIAL. As you can see , the cost of sending out flyers is not cheap, that is why I came up with the Marketing Trick for the cost to be cut down to FREE. Night Rider I guess that word FREE is an extremely strong word as Cmaster says. Look at the excitement you received by offering it to people who are already in business & know there is no Free lunch.
Case in Point "My wife is excited about buying a new pair of glasses and getting a second pair FREE". When I asked, what would the discount be if she did not take the second pair and they said 50%. So what is really FREE.

I live outside the box, and would not want to clutter my mind with altered mindset to my own. All my plans and marketing gimmicsks are to be done during the off season ( Winter Months ) in preparation of the spring and summer rush.........once you missed the boat for the start of the spring season.........you're basically up a creek without a paddle...........................
