A lot depends on the condition of the carpet, low moisture methods work  well on light to medium soiled carpets, heavily soiled often require a dual [pre scrub/extraction] method.  Encapsulation with a Cimex machine are very popular for commercial cleaning, as well as , OP with cotton pads both are vlm fast drying methods that can produce up to 2000 sq ft per hour.

As Doug said don't take your distributors word, look into all methods before you invest in any method, you can encap clean with an OP machine.

Encap product with OP mechanical action would give you the best of both worlds only slower compared to Cymex.

But I suspect Padman may come in and disagree, and that's fine. As he is a good guy to listen to.
