Lee S. called me last night and told me. I felt like I was hit with a baseball bat. Jim was not only a mentor, instructed me numerous times, but he was just a really nice guy as well, always ready to help with sage advice and a great sense of humour. Rest in peace Jim.

Simplest way for an out of towner would be the long way.
Take the Don Valley Parkway south to Bayview/Bloor, follow up to Bloor and hang a right. You are there.

You'd think he was a cult leader with all those people.

Jim had a great service given to honor his life.  I too was amazed at all the people. I figured there were over three hundred. Jim would have been very proud of his three kids. They got up and each spoke about their father with pride and with an amazing strength of holding themselves together.

At one point I thought I was going to pass out it was so hot in the Church. I was a little disappointed that they had no one to talk about the man in business. After all we work and spend more time in the business of working than we do with our own family. I am not being disrespectful; I just feel there was another side of Jim that should have been mentioned. In hind sight I would have put together a few words and spoke of Jim, as we had known him.

All in all, it was a sad day and a special man will be missed greatly by family friends and business acquaintances.

Have to agree with G on that one.
His kids need to know what he meant to people in the business world.

I agree with Adwa a little surprised that they did not have someone from our industry, however, I hate that part of the service it must have been so hard for his children to stand up there and talk about their dad, I give them full credit. I think 300 was a little low we thought closer to 900 people in the Church, even the folks from Chemspec USA where there, it was a fitting sendoff for a great person and friend. Good bye Jim will always remember you in our thoughts and prayers

Jim's funeral had to be the largest funeral I have ever seen. Jim's personal friends and family gave him a superb send-off, one I know he would be very proud of. Jim was very well liked and respected plus a great family man. He will be missed by his community and especially in our industry.
