What is the best way to stop freezing up your truckmount in the winter. I was told run windsheild wiper fluid through the unit until it comes out of the wand. What do you guys do?

Electric radiator heater from walmart kmart walgreens. Set one on each side on low and if your van is WELL insulated it will stay above freezing inside when its below 0 outside...

I would be cautious with window wash fluid... some types freeze when its reeeeeeel cold.

Make sure you use very heavey extension cords. There is no guarantee of not kicking out a breaker.  I just would.t chance it. My vans are inside all covered up for the cold nights?

Thats for sure doug. 14 gauge minimum. 2 Oil filled radiator heaters on low will run 1200 watts (600w each) v.s. one on high at 1500 watts.

1000 for the art work... 500 per truck...

you pay more for everything in the GTA...

I paid the same guy 300 5 years ago..... the 450 3 years ago.....now 550..

shocking...but I need it done...

how does it look?????with the old cleanco sitting in it????

getting the shaft on monday....

resprayed the tanks and the reel....looks like brand new second hand

How do you modify the dog house where the shaft comes threw? I see you only get the shaft on Mondays I can get it almost any day? Art work sounds cheap enough you must not put much on each truck?  Why do you have the stainless partition? Just curious? Van looks in good shape for a city unit? They look much better with the appearance package rather than that black plastic look? Now that you just spent $5000.00 for a new van what's next on your shopping list?

-------------

The partition will stop flying objects...plus with no windows it helps for security..this is the GTA and other carpet cleaners will go window shopping if you're careless...

Getting a custom pto shaft gives me the flexiblity to put the unit further back in the truck.

reels and tanks have been repainted...just to bolt in....

all the oils have been changed

really nothing else on my list...just send that puppy out to make some money.

hope to have it finished by Friday.  I love putting trucks together I wish this one was for me.

why buy a new unit??? when the old stuff works fine.  and looks great with a coat of paint..

I'll sell it right now for 40grand....but all us carpet cleaners are a bunch of broke d icks

I am a fan of no windows  except front in vans. I have actually had a bodyman remove side door glass before painting. Out of sight out of mind plus extra advertising room?  Besides older vans used to rust around the door glass?

I have replaced the bearings in the cleanco shafts before, they last for quite a few years, takes longer to get the shaft out then it does to replace the bearings,  Montreal Bearing or any bearing supplier stocks them, (non greasable)

doug why the big dislike for cleanco's???

just because they don't stand behind their product????
just because their parts are damn more expensive than a new machine???
Just because they are f'd-up people theirthat really don't want to sell replacement part???
Just because the damn thing is killing the truckslowly???
Just because you can't get any real real heat out of them???
Just because the heat exchangers always has problems after a while???
Just because their tanks are made of sub standard metal???

well those aren't any reasons

My van is not insulated, but it seems to stay warm enough with the front heater between jobs and after the jobs I put it in a heated garage.

Have left it outside one or two evenings in my life. It's not a good feeling when your wife wakes you up by saying " did you know you left your van out last night" . Those words haunt me!

Luckily I was able to drive it in the garage and slowly thaw it out without major damage. This is probably not the NORM . OR Prayers work!!!
