No. The ability of a wand to recover water is dependant on the wandhead and lip design, not wether there is 1 bend or 2 in it.

Dennis;
If you are worried about recovery, try a single jet wand. It will allow greater impact; less volume of water, which may solve your problem.
Single or double bend wands can be debated.

I like double bend for its agility to get under the corners of beds, desk, etc. ------------- It could always be worse. I mean you could be some carpet stain being emulsified by pre-spray all the while watching a wand spraying really hot solution aiming stright for you. |

IMO, single bend are very uncomfortable, can`t beat an S bend, stainless. I have a Ninja as back up and use my 2 jet Cleanco wand on it, works great.. ------------- It`s not how far you fall...it`s how high you bounce back up... |

There are many ways to improve recovery from a portable. Using a single bend would not even be on my list!  ------------- Could somebody just clean my carpets! |

Here's an idea: buy some pvc pipe, stick with your single bend wand and you should be good to go! Not sure how your going to make those corners though.  Your recovery should improve. Let me know how you make out. Oh Ya! I almost forgot, remember to clean your filter. ------------- Could somebody just clean my carpets! |

Dennis_is_Gay.........why don't you just suck on a PVC Pipe and make sure you get all that Goo in your mouth ......just the way you like it  You can have all the recovery you like.

Anyone can build a carpet cleaning machine.
Now a wand is a challenge. Years ago someone made a simple squirt & suck wand and everyone copied it and lowered their price. Very few have ever really studied the aerodynamics that would or could be necessary to offer max CFM and water lift without restrictions. Even a weld burr on the inside of a wand can create restriction and lead to inneficiencies. The only real change that any one made was going to a double-bend to allow it to be made agile and get to areas that the straight-shank can't get to. Of course, we can't discount the fact that Kenny has made virtually all wands to glide better for us saving our bones and energy for more pleaureable activities.

No Jack, then all we have is sales problems if we try to sell it. Manufacturing of TMs is not a hard business. It is the selling of them that is. A lot of competition. I would rather keep fighting with HR over the glides than get into that business.
