Now I can advertise it.  Dec 4/2006 Peter Calzavara will be the first to receive the James Darling Memorial Award for his outstanding contribution to our industry.  Peter is presently fighting with some health issues and the FIO would like to present this special night to recognize Peter, plus also to pay tribute to Jim Darling for everything he had done to promote professional carpet cleaning across Canada.  This is something you should attend, for info call the FIO 905 822 2280.

The FIO will be getting together for a social evening of fun, food, drink and good ole' camaraderie. Peter Calzavaris is a man who offered much to our industry in training and education. We will be presenting him with the very first James Darling Memorial Award.

Jim Darling was also a man who offered much to our industry. To get to where your going it's good to know the people and foot steps who came before you.

We look forward to all our old and new friends who care to join us. Take this as an official invitation.

For those that missed it, what a night all the old timers where on hand to honour Peter. The Darling family was there, and Jim's wife presented Peter will with a lovely clock. Too many to mention, but was great to see Bruce Hubbs and John Dupain had not seen them for many years.  Ted did his 20 minutes of magic, man that guy is some good at it.
