A LOCAL SUPPLY HOUSE HAS S TRUCKFORCE / PORTABLE AND A ROTO-360 SET UP HE IS TRYING TO GET RID AND FOR LESS THAN 3000-BUX'S, WHAT IS ANYONES TAKE ON THIS?

I DO NOT BELIEVE THE TRUCKFORCE IS A HEATED EXTRACTOR, CAN YOU ADD HEAT TO IT? WHAT IF I JUST USED A DROP IN HEATER?

HE ALSO HAS A CHEYENNE HE MIGHT GET RID OF?

WHAT IS A GOOD PORTABLE TO GET STARTED WITH AND WHAT SHOULD I BE LOOKING AT FOR A MINIMAL COMPANY START UP USING A PORTABLE?
I HAVE BEEN ALSO LOOKING AT CLEANFREAK.COM START UP PACKAGE ANY PLACE ELSE ANYONE CAN RECOMMEND.

I HAVE A CHANCE TO DO PRE-SCHOOL, DAY-CARE MEDICAL OFFICE, GOVERNMENT OFFICE AND A LOCAL PAROCHIAL SCHOOL BUT THEY ALL HAVE ASKED THAT WE USE ECO-FRIENDLY AND GREEN-SEAL CHEMICALS, WHERE SHOULD I BUY?

THIS WOULD BE CARPET CLEANING, TILE AND GROUT CLEANING AND WOOD FLOOR CLEANING.

IS THERE ANY COMPUTER PROGRAMS MADE THAT ANY ONE CAN RECOMMEND AS FAR AS INVOICING, SCHEDULING AND CUSTOMER TRACKING GOES?

WHAT ABOUT A MERCHANT ACCOUNT OR POS PAYMENT SYSTEM?

STARTING SMALL BUT THINKING BIG.
ECO FRIENDLY IS BIG IN MY NECK OF THE WOODS AND NO ONE REALLY OFFERS IT AROUND HERE.

I'LL KICK BACK AND LISTEN TO YOU GUYS BUST MY CHOPS.

gfu614,

To maximize your profit and minimize your labour you should look at two systems.

A. 500, 1200 PSI http://www.kleenkuip.com/portables/esteam_1200.htm - Ninja
B. http://www.kleenkuip.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2992&KW=accelerator&PID=68852#68852 - Accelerator 19 inch

These will give you the best of both worlds plus top-notch quality and speed.

The reason I suggest Ninja is because I have sold hundreds of them and have had hundreds of satisfied customers. It's lightweight and manageable for a one man crew.

I am not knocking the Truckforce, it is a great unit and most likely has a built-in heater as an option. But be prepared to have a two man crew to manage the large and heavy pieces of equipment. Never use a drop-in heater as it heats the water before the pump not only is this not healthy for the pump but it will void most warranties.

Keep in mind that and inline heater is excellent for carpet cleaning but could never keep up to the heat for tiles and grout. Another good reason to purchase the Accelerator is that it is also capable of enhancing the tile and grout cleaning as portable high pressure grout cleaning can be a challenge at times and the special agitation that the Accelerator offers will put you into the more professional category.

We no longer sell computer programs. But, I am sure someone will have suggested one on this site. I suggest you purchase it locally. But if you wish to give KK an opportunity to offer it to you simply ask. (no pressure)

P.S.
The best and possibly the least expensive safe and enviro products are also on this site by Chemspec. Call their head office in Baltimore for a distributor nearest you.

The Rotovac 360 is great for carpets and hard floors but not a deep down grout cleaner.

The Truckforce does not come with a built-in heater. In fact, it will not run on 15 amp breakers very well either, and really needs a 20 amp circuit to plug into on one or both of it's 2 power cords. If you buy it, I recommend you use only a post heater that connects downstream of the pump. That will require a 3rd plug. Heaters are not effective with portables that move over 1 gpm anyways, unless you go to a propane heater that can supply more btus.

MORE EFFECTIVE THAN NOT HAVING ONE.. YOU RUN HOT WATER THRU THE HEATER.

Hot is a relative term. Most pumps can handle 150 to 180 degree water. If you want more than that, you connect them DOWNSTREAM of the pump so you do not shorten pump life too much.

Any built-in heater that works on a 15-amp circuit is limited to its heating capabilities. Yes they do work well if you understand the actual function of an in-line heater.

  1. It's important to limit your jet size
  2. It's important not to clean 'full throttle' with the solution control valve continuously in the open position

Example:

If you clean with the water on for 30 seconds you should follow with a vacuum for 30 seconds. This allows the in-line heater time to return it's maximum heat.
