Anybody tried ECOgent Carpet Cleaner? I read the advertisements, but I'd like to know what results some of you have had & what it is/isn't good for. Thanks for any help.

I'm really pleased with the chems I use. But my competition is advertising "Environmentally Friendly" or something like that and now customers are asking me about it.

My personal experience with Ecogent is that it tends to leave a sticky residue when it dries and it doesn't clean all that well. Ask your local supplier for a sample to try or buy a gallon and see how it works for you

I use a new one that smells like orange and it f-n rocks but I'm am not telling anybody around Toronto about it so take a walk.

better than DFC 105, DFC 210, EcoGent, Benefect

none of you will be able to compete with me, your customers will say they want the guy with the "natural orange" stuff hahahahahaaaaa

customers love orange they believe it to be the safeest thing on the planet.

DFC has no smell to it, who ever invented it must have never cleaned carpet in his life, he has no clue.

sure it is super safe but the home-owner will choose orange over DFC 100% of the time.

I found EcoGent worked great on clean carpet or lightly soiled wool. As far as DFC I have had great results and as far as no chem smell I have people who want is just for that reason. Not everyone wants there house to smell like a cheap W*ore house when your done cleaning ??

You have an excellent point there. Delimonene is the orange ingredient that offers great grease cutting ability and everyone loves the smell of oranges. We sell a lot of these products. These products are made from orange peels.

You would of it as enviro friendly as you can get but not true. It is deadly on rubbers. Not recommended to put through your pumps. We at KK have had many warranty issues over the years with these products being used through SureFlo and FlowJet and many other types of water pumps.

The major product we sell with Delimonene in it is ( http://www.kleenkuip.com/products/ccCrystal.htm - Crystal Carpet Cleaner ) not only does it offer the orange odor it also offers Encap and Hydrogen Peroxide Technology.

Huck
with all due respect at what % are you talking about?
if I put 1ml of d-Limonene into a gallon of pre-spray then I put 6 ounces of the prespray into a gallon of water am I going to harm myself and all those in the house?

Please be specific, after all you work as a manufacturer not a cleaner so if anybody knows it should be you.

thank you.

I say that about all the green chemicals... just because they are made to food grade standards doesn't mean they are totally safe...

citric acid is just as deadly as rust remover...yet it's in a lot of things we eat and drink....go figure

Dennis I don't think you would harm someone with that amount. And your right I am thinking about manufacturing with D-limonene and I Know from experience that it can burn your skin pretty good. All Chemicals are dangerous even if they are environmentally safe or not.
