Is it advisable to have a web site for your carpet cleaning? And if so where do you go to have it set up. Also what all do you put on your site. Forgive me i am computer illiterate. Any advise... Thanks

Cost you about 2000 for a real good one but you can do do a decent one for about 1200.
Do it! It is cheaper than yellow pages and just as or more effective. Because your OP you have a story and benefits to tell that will come off really well with a website illustrating why someone should choose you. It doesn't have to be fancy it has to say the right things to be effective. I would advise also purchasing Google Adwords to get a high ranking. It this is Greek talk to a Web Designer - there is one on every corner!

95% of carpet cleaning web sites look like they were designed by a 12 year old novice, including some of the guys who post here regularly

Web sites are good for added information....once they get your flyer or card....it makes your company look more legit....

but if you think your going to pick up business off the web...naw

all you really need is an e-mail addy......you can send them information if they request it...I book calls all the time via e-mail and I don't have a web site.....anymore

How long have you been in business?

Only 13 months. I have 4 companies with double paged ads and 5 companies with single paged ads before you get to the 1/2 page ads. Kinda like pissing on a building on fire advertising there with a small ad. Full page ad is about $1400 a month.

That's crazy. We used to have one company with a 3/4 page ad here, but they lost so much business because of crappy service, they now have a smaller ad than mine. Mine is 3 x 2.5 inch. That is the largest out of 17 companies listed

I think a website will work for you if you can direct people to it and make them an offer on it. It may take a couple of years, but I wouldn't quit advertising in the YP
