I know about the CRI web site, however where is the information about Shaw that is being talked about on all the boards?

Something is wrong with Shaw's website. I can't get on it right now. It must be on there somewhere

I found this on the Shaw web site... "Carpet cleaning equipment and cleaning products used as spotters, pre-sprays, and in-tank solutions should have certification in the Carpet and Rug Institute's Seal of Approval programs. These products can be found at www.carpet-rug.org."
Is this it?
It doesn't seem to me that very many people will even be aware that this exists.
I thought they had made some huge press release or something that was also sent out to all retail carpet stores that carried their brand of carpets.
They don't have many approved machines, and darn few chemicals as well, doesn't seem to be that well thought out to me. You would think they would want the majority of cleaners to meet their guidelines, and only go after the few with horrible chemicals or machines. Who will service these people if no one complies with this?

It's a cash grab. They want everyone to get their products and equipment certified at $xxxx each. If a Rug Doctor can be certified at 28 psi, my spot machine will probably pass as well. What kind of BS is that? We all know that a TM does a much better job, even with a mediocre operator. This is the biggest farce I've seen in this industry in recent years

If no one complies, the program will be dropped, just like Masterseries and all the manufacturers getting into cleaning a few years back

The Everest and Performer are the only 2 that passed. The Performer isn't even listed on Prochem's website.
