I've been out these last few days trying to pick up some commercial work.
I mostly been hitting retail stores.....it's been ok...so far I've gotten 1 job out of it so far..
what would you guys recommend?? is it better to hit a industrial complex...or maybe the hotel strip???
or should I try to do all this with a phone call???
I have also picked up 2 churches...thats because I know God...

Hotels are usually quiet in January. Good time to get some cleaning done. I would send a letter or show up in person. Phoning has never gotten me anywhere

I just wait for the phone to ring? I quoted a church this week? All the churches ariynd here a broke? I done one before christmas? Usually someone will come in from London or Kitchener of the price of gas and a hamburg and clean them? ------------- Just My opinion |

some on showed my an invoice for 0.05cents per sq ft...for 2300 sq ft...

We get the Mormons in our neighbourhood. Always kids in their early 20's. I talked to them once, told them I might be interested in their view of things. They haven't been around for a while -------------

CMON GUYS...need some bright ideas!!!!!
all I have is a couple of calls everyday...none of you have any connnections up in the GTA that could get me some work????
Did a quote for a Chapters today.....called the Manager and told them how dirty the carpet was from right inside the store...
I also pointed out that it was buckled bad...from being over steamed and wet...
Instead of offering me the carpet cleaning they asked if I do maintenance....they want to keep the whole thing under one company..

I got out of the crap for a reason...I like my FREEDOM...
If I need a day or a week off I just dont book jobs...but a maintenence contract is 7 nights a week...no life...

chapters is national....but the cleaning is not...each store deals with their own...This is not the first one I've quoted...The first one had cleaners and they wanted me to clean the carpet...
I told them 1500 bucks...10cents per sq ft...
