What are you doing running your own business, working for yourself and you dont even have 3-5 G's in the bank to buy equipment?

Or you can't put it on a credit card?

Or you can't lease it?

LMFAO at some of the broke-azz carpet cleaners in Toronto lolololol @ YOU!

You should be laughing a very long time then, cause there are alot of them. Just ask Ted. He runs into them almost every day at Kleen Kuip. Most of them can't even come up with the cash for a $2000 Ninja. Since I posted about the Titans going on sale , I have had 3 guys phone me up asking if I would take payments on the SV-4. This machine only costs $1695US! I think that when things get tight in the next few months, alot of these guys are going out of business.

everyone is not an overnight success. Sometimes people are just going threw some hard times. I personally don't judge anyone by their bank account.

Alot of those people with high paying jobs are sniffing alot of Coke. And I don't mean the Coca cola variety either. That will keep their bank balance close to zero for a long time.

Yep. We have alot of those types in Calgary. With over 20,000 millionaires living here now, it is not surprising I guess.

I know that sounds desparate, but hey; that is the story of my life!

Uh, turn on the news. Coke is back in a big way.

I'm still living job to job it seems, but I always have at least $5,000 in the bank. I'd be too nervous running this business without that cushion.

I'm pretty new to this and it's a supplement to another business (real estate), I couldn't imagine not having at least access to a line of credit if I needed something for my business.

Though I do agree with nightrider in regards that even if someone is making $100,000+ / yr, they still might not have two dimes to rub together and they may be upto their eye-balls in CC debt.   what kind of life is that?

Here's the funny thing about money....................it worth NOTHING

EXCELLENT CREDIT IS EVERYTHING

If you have $ 500,000 in the bank and no credit history ( or at least just a minimal history ) you will not get a car loan, or mortgage .

If you have $ 2,000 in the bank and an excellent credit you get it all .

Since I was a youngster @ 17 I read a book " How to Profit on the Misfortunes of others " In the book they advised not to gather money, but rather invest into real estate.............That's what I did, every $ 5,000 I saved I bought a property ( I still own the first property I bought ) I paid $ 12,000 in 1971.....todays worth 0ver $ 300,000

MONEY IS NOTHING..........NET WORTH IS WHAT DECIDES IF YOU ARE RICH

Steamer is such a Putz...........$ 12,000 less $ 5000 down, Mortgage @ 6% $ 7000 ( I paid that house off in 4 years ) rental income .

Money is only a belief system , when people & countries don't belive in your currency, and start dumping treasury bills at @ discount.....................that's what money is worth............NOTHING

What does Steamer know.......................he's got carpet dog excrement carpet fibre as brains

I quote " I paid 12,000 in 1971"

I just assume you financed...but you proved it with your next post. no way you financed for 6% in the 70's..

I think you are mistaken

Bank rates were in the area 0f 10 % to 11 % at the time of purchase . It was 1973 , Month of July I was turning 20 in August . My wife purchased it she just turned 21 . At the time she was working for A.E. Lepage & Westmount Realities . We bought 3 houses through them @ that rate .

I don't shoot the bull , what I say is what it is . NO NEED TO LIE AT MY AGE . I have nothing to prove, my proof is of success was made over 20 years  ago

I know that Jack is right about that. I am the same age as him, and I remember the rates back then too. Even when the posted rate was 10% in the early 70's, it was still possible to get a 6% rate as an employee perk, or if you did a private financing with a non-bank lender.
