Vista was really bad when it was released. My IP guy is responsible for 40 computers and uses it. He says it's finally reliable enough to use. He loves the GUI.

If I remember correctly WindowsXP had bugs that needed to be ironed out when it was first released. Give Vista some time...it will get better. I for one love XP and have no desire to upgrade at this point in time.

Right on Mr.Mike.. 2012 i hear is when Microsoft will stop supporting XP.. I have XP on 2 desktops.. 2000 on another desktop and XP on the wifes laptop.. They don't support W2000 but it still runs on my PC.. All on the internet so I'll bet you can run XP way past 2012 with no issues..........

Why would you want to do that...Vista works excellent... much easier to use..plus if you have windows update the bugs get worked out as you use it.

There are a few issues I had at first but all of them have been fixed now

Then tell me why so many ppl have problems with Vista.. Most problems are finding drivers for sound etc.. etc.. Go check out a Vista BB and you will know what I'm talking about..

I despise Vista. Already junked the first one. Lost all my data and then paid a fortune to get it back.

I tweaked Vista to act and look more like Vista on one desktop, XP on my laptop which runs the QBPro complete with credit card reader, XP on the old desktop and then Fedora on the oldest desktop.  I hated XP, ME, 98, 95 and 3.1.  I actually owned 1.1 at one time.  I prefer command line but I was building my own boxes back in the 80s and 90s.  Go ahead, call me geek.
