My second hand TM came with a Flojet pump and the pressure switch has burnt out. I know I can get replacements cheaper than a new pump, but this seems like a regular thing as the guy I bought it off said they don't last long.

Would I be better off with another make?

He's right, Flojets are pretty unreliable, go for a Shurflo unit instead. More robust, better delivery and longer lasting!

PS a TM with a Flojet??? In my experience, only portables have electric pumps of this nature Confused What power rating is the motor? if it's a separate motor with a pump head an even better option will be a Cat ceramic triple piston pump; one of those will probably outlast your machine!

Good point, thinking cap was definitely not on, and in which case definitely go for a Shurflo replacement unit or what about an in-tank submersible pump (bilge pump) as you'd find in a waste tank? Those things pump all sortsa nasties, so if it's fresh water, they'd go forever!

Yeah, just to pump from the freshwater tank if not on direct feed.

Partly the problem was not having an accumulator tank and the constant on and off burnt switch out,  but I have had the switch go again last week. Cry

They are about £11 I bought a couple just in case.
