Have you noticed?

Two years ago on the ICS board, I made a prediction that Gold had bottomed at the then current price of $260/oz, and was now ready to resume it's climb up to $1000+/oz. Gold set a new 16 year high of $438/oz today and is only a week or two away or less than passing $450/oz. Once that happens, it will be ready to run up to$850 per oz in only a couple of months. But it wont stop there. The US dollar is depreciating rapidly these days and is set to depreciated a whole lot more. As this happens people are putting more and more of their money into Gold. But it is a very limited resource, so demand will rapidly outstrip supply. I expect that you will see the price soar to well over $1000/oz by next Spring.

If you want in on this play, buy some gold options. The $500 ones will still be cheap to acquire for a week or so and will give you a $50000 profit on each one when the $1000 price is reached. Buying gold shares will also deliver great returns as they also appreciate faster in percentage terms than buying bullion outright.

I don't dabble in it. I was a full time investor in it before I started in the carpet cleaning business 26 years ago. I never left it. Those that do not listen to the financial market info I give will lose. My timing has been wrong a few times, but I have never been wrong in the direction a commodity is going, and I am not wrong on this one either. I have called oil, gold, silver, and the Euro right for the last 3 years now. My timing on the stock market the last  year or so has been off, but it is still going down. It just is going to take a little longer than I first thought. I expect the big drop to start next year sometime in 2005 after gold passes $1000 per once. I am glad that this post will still be there for readers here to see just how right I am on this.

The trouble is that futures/options contracts have an limited time frame, so not only do you have to call the move, but you have to be right in the timing...

Ken failed to tell you that!

I can say a market is going to go up (or down for that matter) and sooner or later it will...could be years!

If Ken was so good in the markets, he'd be running a hedge fund and not farting around with glides and feeding chickens.

LANDSTUHL, Germany (CNN) -- Battle casualties received by doctors at this American military hospital in Germany have more than doubled since the Falluja operation in Iraq began, the facility's commander told reporters Sunday.

Col. Rhonda Cornum said more than half the 419 patients received at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center last week were from the Army and just over 40 percent were Marines. Nearly 200 of those patients have been sent back to the United States for further treatment, she said.

"I cannot tell you which ones were injured in Falluja," she said, adding that 95 percent of the patients came from Iraq and more than half were wounded in battle. Most of the rest of the patients came from Afghanistan.

"Normally, 25 percent are battle injuries," she said. "Normally, we average 32 patients a day. In the last week, we've had an average of 70."

During such intense periods, Cornum said, wounded forces have been moved from the battlefield to Landstuhl in as few as 12 hours.

Landstuhl, the largest American hospital outside the United States, is next to Ramstein Air Base, headquarters of the U.S. Air Force in Europe. About 110 physicians and 250 nurses work at the hospital, according to its Web site.

Busiest week since April

It was the busiest week for the hospital since April, when U.S. forces last tried to take Falluja, Cornum said. The colonel said the hospital increased the number of available intensive care beds to accommodate the need.

Lt. Col. Todd Hess said the Landstuhl facility had seen no change in the type of injuries in the past week. He said the number of mental health evaluations might have been slightly lower than usual.

Cornum said mental health professionals and chaplains were available for patients and staff, who could be affected by "day after day seeing these kids come in who could be the same age as their own kids."

The best glides on the market are made by me, not Greenie. People from the GTA will be seeing them work on Friday. After those demos, there will be no doubt about that. The SuperSlide glides will redefine Glide performance!
