I have bought an air purifier 4 months ago, but me and my family keep getting sick.

It depend on the brand and type.
What is your brand ?
Some are good for smoke, some are good for virus & bacteria and some for portable...

There are many things make your air purifier useless:

- Your air purifier is indeed an useless one. Check the air filters and brand.

- Windows and Doors opened is a cause to reduction of air purifier efficiency.

- Your air purifier has too small room coverage

- Air purifier is basically a fan with filters, it can't run through wall.
