We had a blast today.

Diva and gmoney  challenged a Cleanmore with an RX 20 on a wool rug. It wasn't pretty.

I'll tell you though their enthusiasm goes a long way.

Handsome John sits there and mocks me using the OP and then when Diva uses it he is all goo goo. Guess she is better looking than me

First and formost let me say  John gave me one hell of a hard time too and I actually know how to use an OP machine. My looks have nothing to do with my running a machine and have no bearing on weather or not the work I do will actually CLEAN a carpet.

Secondly if you would have waited until later in the the evening the wool carpet, didn't look so good when it dried. It looked great wet but dry... that was questionable. I'll let Gmoney address that further!!!

The tire marks on the wool carpet... OP got them out first.  Handsome Johns concoction spotter took it out too EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING left it there as plain as day!!!

On the nylon carpet OP Kicked A$$!!!!

And on red stain removal RED VANISH kicked a$$.

Now I will say this, this was our first type of demo day. We learned a lot and will be more prepared for the next one.  We also had a great time and it was a pleasure meeting certain people from this forum.

I hope to see most of you again!!

Had a great time at your shop today Ted.  I got to meet such notables a Superglide and Doug.  Both are nice guys in person by the way and I will find it hard to rip into them in the future! But I am sure I will find something to raise controversy over.

Red vanish did kick butt.  We will post some pics soon.  Mr. IICRC (Lee) and his two part 'Red Relief' + his magic light (chemical accelerator) + oreck cordless iron + damp rag barely budged the red spot.

Stick to demoing the cimex because you give OP a bad name.  When was the last time you cleaned? I am sorry I wasn't there to see you fight with the little 1/2 hp CCS machine (with all that sweat running from your brow) and lose! I admire your determination though. Little Joshua (8 years old) was able to master that baby in Kentucky and even tried his hand at the 1 hp Conqueror at Ted's.

Handsome John was also giving Diva a hard time as well.  But it was all in good fun.  And yes, she is SOOOOOOOOOO much better looking than you!!!!

I will admit we had not experienced the cleaning of wool carpet before and it was a learning experience.  Upon talking to Padman we now know how to tackle the situation.  And on nylon carpet and olefin (over 95% of carpet) it kicked butt.

I will also admit that I was taken aback and amazed at how clean and bright the wool carpet looked WET after being cleaned with the rx-20, steamin deamon, and especially the rotovac BUT if you stuck around and seen it dry it looked like SH..!!!!!!!!!  If the choice was to clean the wool carpet in the customer's house and leave (not a smart thing to do) then more time would have been wasted with a call back because of the wick back.

Ironically the area of the carpet that looked the best after drying was where the Cimex (Lee) and OP cleaned.  Yes, Lee your scrub and run machine deserves some props for its job on wool.

It was a fun day and Ted, Linda, Gloria, and Mike deserve a lot of credit for putting together such a successful event.  I hope you made a profit off the day's activities.  You should seriously consider holding a similar event in the Spring or Summer (like you were talking about Ted) so we can take over the parking lot and all put on a show.

And Steamer, I'm disappointed in you.  You couldn't even spare a few hours for us fellow board members and Ted especially.  Your buddy Doug even found the time to come and show his face. Met your 'relative' though.  He's personable and QUIET.  Somehow I don't picture you being as QUIET!

Refresh my memory Diva...the wool carpeting wasn't the one with the tire "skid marks". I have to look at the pictures again that I took but to tell you the truth I thought "don't even bother taking before and after"...those skid marks aint comin' out...but they did!....they were eventually wanded out...koodos goes out to Casey and his truckmount...try to beat the heat of a truckmount...his wand was just a' Steamin'!!! Good job!...Very impressive!

On the nylon carpet OP Kicked A$$!!!!

Every job has it's own variables...no one method is going to get the job done...I hope everyone realizes this...having more than one cleaning machine in your arsenal (if one can afford) will only help you become a better and more profitable cleaner.

Quote Now I will say this, this was our first type of demo day. We learned a lot and will be more prepared for the next one.  We also had a great time and it was a pleasure meeting certain people from this forum.

First off gmoney, I was  there to cover for people who may not show. I cleaned with the OP and used  Ecogent plus had no glider. Give me a break. Compare me to an 8 year old? Someone had to demo to the people in the morning.

You talk about the stain removal, I started the process but I didn't complete the process, I just gave you the DCI light and went to set up the duct cleaning demo and the Cimex. Attack, attack attack

The only person who I saw act like an 8 year old was someone who complained over the idea of paying $50.00 for a Christmas party to see 2 speakers, get dinner with wine and a Christmas basket.

So easy to attack people eh gmoney? And you critisize me over something you didn't even see?

I don't care, you have just proven yourself as a relentless complainer.

I have no time for people like you.

Gmoney and Diva:  I think you are out of line.  I am not one to get involved in personal attacks but the whole idea of an event like this is for everyone to come hungry for knowledge and go away full of knowledge.  Competitions are all in fun,  as are debates.  You cannot make a topic into some kind vandetta and attack someone just because you either lost or don't agree.  I personally say very little at these events for that very reason.  I have had it happen to me.  It is not fair you you to vent your frustrations at anyone.  No one wins when someone pulls a stunt like this and hits below the belt.  It will make things very difficult for the next fun fest if people who work so hard to make the event a success  are going to be ROASTED  after the event is over.  Personally you two, I didn't think you would lower yourselves to do something like this.   Unfortunately I think you two lost alot of respect over this very inmature attack.  Live and learn. Guitar

What I want to know Diva is you said it was a pleasure meeting certain people from this forum. Was there someone there that wasn't a pleasure to meet?

That was the personal attack that I was responding to.  You think you are slick Lee.  I seen you in action.  It was Superglide Ken day NOT LEE SENTER DAY.  You tried to show us up on the spot removal and failed....live with it.  Why would you start a demo and leave in the middle of it?  I didn't need your fancy light because as you can see I achieved the desired results without it.  You bring out your spotting kit and fancy light and start to give an MSDS lesson.......just apply the chemical and lets see if it works

Of all the things you could have said about the day.  You focus on me and Diva and imply that a Cleanmore truckmount did a better job than us.  I'm sorry Doug but that was unnacceptable and chidish and I agree that it ruins the spirit of the day. And by the way the LEE I can make you eat those words because I have the wool rug in my truck and witnesses the following day at Ted's shop that can support my claims. (I drove down to look at it and pick it up the next day because of your ignorant comments).   But guess what Doug, LEE DREW FIRST BLOOD AND YOU DEFEND AND CONDONE HIS ACTIONS WHY?  This seems to be a common theme with you.

What wasn't pretty was you trying to run the show LEE (and trying to work the OP!!!! LOL).  Everyone else treated it like a showcase of methods and a meet and greet.  You did the opposite.  When you put a show on Doug will be at top of the list to attend.  I did not grandstand that day for a reason.  A few people also commented to me about your 'I know it all, watch me attiude'.

And Lee implies that Handsome John mocked him...why wouldn't he?  If you knew how to work an OP you would have turned the machine off and KNOWN that a glide was needed once you started to fight it.  Bringing your own pads might have been helpful as well!

And exactly why did you feel you had to run the show and put on demos when there was a parking lot full of truckmounts with wands etc, Superglide had his glides, and Ted has a showroom full of portables, rx-20, rotary drimaster, rotovac, steamin deamon, etc?  You are too arrogant for your own good LEE.

You have no time for people like me.  You do not make any sense. Then why are you addressing me in your posts and putting me down.  Why don't you spend your time posting about how knowledgeable you are and stop putting down others.  You opened a can a worms now deal with it.  I did not intend to waste my time and respond to your negative remarks but Diva has had enough of the bashing and I decided to step in.

Adwa, lets just say that Diva was referring to certain people that I have already addressed that did not have the common courtesy to say hi and who purposely ignored her when they were being addressed.  Yet has the balls to come on the board and talk trash about her and her cleaning methods.

Gmoney:  I for one was impressed with you method. What got me thinking was Lee's demo in the morning and the positive things he had to say about op.  It takes a good person to explain a system the benefits and some of the limitations, which is a good balanceing act as one has to  make sure your comments are all positive.  I am still a firm believer in HWE, what gets me interested is when someonce can present me with an unbiased opinion and comparison of both.  I can only hope everone can bury the hatchet as unfortunayely there is more than one way to skin a cat.  There is also more than one way too clean a carpet.  With that said I hope you two had a good weekend.Guitar

Gmoney you have proved once and for all what a jerk you are.

Now you critisize me for helping Ted out?

How about Casey was he a jerk too?

Face it, you just want to be a critic. You wanted to be the star.

I had three of my paid employees there bringing equipment to demonstrate things at this show.. When you were using your illegal chemicals I had guys waiting for Casey to finish and a duct cleaning demo to do. I already said I was interested in the Red Vanish, unfortunately it can't be sold in Canada OR USED IN CANADA.

I was demoing OP because no one else was there. I also spoke very highly of it and showed everyonewhat comes out of the carpet after HWE.

I have also been told many times that the attendees appreciated what I had to say about the OP because I am pretty unbiased about it. You can't say you are the least amount unbiased. Your credibility is shot.

Get a life.

Oh and by the way since you are being such a jerk, I'll point out that your NEW MACHINE broke down for how many hours and was unuseable??

And didn't you admit in another post you didn't even know how to clean a wool rug with the OP, WHAT PROS

I give someone a new chemical to try and make them read the label and hazard symbols, why BECAUSE THAT IS THE WAY YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO give an unknown chemical to someone who hasn't used it before. ITS THE LAW.Obviously basic safety  and hazard awareness are not part of your repitoire.

Kudos to Ted and the Gang(Linda,Gloria,Mike,Ross) at Kleenkuip who put this event on. I can only speak for myself, another job well done. I certianly don't tell you often enough "Thanks for all your help"

Bravo Ted!

Now you can add name calling to your extensive list of credentials.  Impressive.  And get off your high horse about illegal chemicals because I am almost positive that the cimex and OP machine YOU brought to demo are not UL and CSA approved Mr. Rules and regulations.  And you have  already admitted to me that you use John's chemicals (VLM etc).  Nice  try.  What is your problem?  If you just commented on the success of the day and didn't bad mouth Diva and OP then this conversation would not be happening.

No one was given your chemical to try.  You used it and then left when the results were not there.

I have only cleaned 1 wool rug with OP (countless using HWE).  And I was making excuses for how the carpet looked two minutes after it was cleaned.  Ironically it dried looking ten times better than the HWE side.  If you are THE PRO you should know better than to come and make a post about something that is cleaned before it is dry. By the way you still haven't addressed that comment and continue to talk out of your rear end.

The OP machine had a lose wire that was fixed in minutes.  I'm sorry if all the machines you buy are bullet proof.

And after just reading Doug's post I will commend you on giving an unbiased opinion of the method.  But then why do you come online and bad mouth it (something to the effect that we went up against a Cleanmore and it wasn't pretty.....).   Wow that was really unbiased  Lee thanks!!!!! Do you have a split personality?

I'll leave the personal attacks to you ....it wasn't pretty...jerk....get a life...
Real classy Lee.

And for the record I never called you a jerk (go back and read  my post!!) Casey should be thanked for allowing us to use his truckmount and demo the different extraction tools.  He wasn't the one walking around with his nose held up so high in the air.

Who cares if you had three PAID employees there.  Next time tell them to bring pads and glides.

AND YOU STILL HAVEN' T RESPONDED TO WHY YOU BADMOUTHED OP AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS THREAD; THE WHOLE REASON WHY I AM HERE TALKING TO YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE.

AND FOR THE RECORD TED DOES NOT DESERVE THIS SORT OR THING AS A RESULT OF HIS WONDERFUL EVENT.  BESIDES HAVING TO DEAL WITH CERTAIN PEOPLE IN PERSON AND THEN DEFENDING MYSELF ONLINE IT WAS A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.

I ASK YOU ONE MORE TIME LEE WHY DIDN'T YOU JUST COMMENT ON HOW POSITIVE THE DAY WENT AND REFRAIN FROM THE PERSONAL JABS.....  ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU SEEM TO BE DEDICATED TO MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THIS INDUSTRY.

Face it chump,

OP Machine lost!!!!!!

Too bad, its only important to you. All your bellaching isn't going to change that either.

The silliest part of all of this is two very well known members of this board are considering buying an OP even after seeing it lose. Go figure. Maybe because only you care that the OP lost the battle of clean. But people still want one, why because its ANOTHER tool in the arsenal.

Take your head out of the sand.

But thats just my opinion.

Anyone here other than the shills believe that the Op machine did a better job than the RX20??

There you go with the name calling again.  Don't have time for you until you answer the questions about your machines being approved, using John's chemicals, and coming on this board to bad mouth us and our methods.

Its funny how I asked you certain questions and all you can do is talk about OP against this and against that.  Did you not read that I have the carpet in question.  You can come to my house and inspect it yourself.  It is still taped up.  Better yet since I am too biased and probably touched it up give Ted a call and ask him.  Like I said Mr.  IICRC only a fool would come on the boards and talk about carpet that was steamed while it was still wet (I already said the carpet looked great wet).  But I guess all that wick back will magically disappear right!!!!!!!!  That's ok with me because I can be called in after to clean up the mess.

And stop going on other boards and bad mouthing the OP method (ie. John's board).  I'm sure he will have something to say at some point.  It is  a shame that you focussed on the wrong things when it came to the event that Ted held.

Now Lee go away and leave me alone.  Yes we know OP sucks and the rx-20 is the bomb....Lee Senter is the macdady of all macdaddys....I am a lier.....and LEE can beat down on people because he is well known and has a reputation.....why seems to escape me though.......

Are you in need of some help there sir?

I spent the morning Friday singing the praises of OP.

Don't know what your problem is.

As for The Cimex, I have not reconfirmed whether or not it is CSA approved, I believe it is using an endorsed standard. As for Abstraction-no we don't use it. Check it out since you are so close with the supplier.

CSA standard is not law, chemicals is.

How about you sir?

Are your chemicals WHMIS labelled??

Gmoney: I am not taking sides here but.  Lee does own a op machine as it was his machine he used for the demo.  I heard nothing negative in his morning presentation.  I also read the other boards and contrubute at times and really have not witnessed all the negativity you write of. What I don't understand is why you say because he has an older op machine than you he could not do as good of job as he was sweating trying to operate it.  Did you say that? Should I start telling people my tm is newer than the guy that does your cleaning so you should hire me?  I don't realy don't know ehere this argument is going but Gmoney you play with fire ant the end result is you get burned. Guitar

Nothing more to say Doug.  I don't know why you defend Lee.  I acknowledged that Lee spoke well of OP at Ted's and questioned why he would come on here and cut it up.  I have been down this road before Doug.  He said the same thing on John's board.  Why do you argue with me?  I read it you did not.  Anyways, like I said Lee is right and I am wrong.  Wickback is a problem that we don't need to worry about because it does not exist.  I'm tired of you sticking up for Lee when he talks trash etc and this whole board so have fun and flame away.

Anything regarding OP you can refer to Padman from now on.

Your spotters look good.

If you have no takers I will buy them all from you and mark them up 20% to help pay the rent for my Christmas Bonus. But you should not have any problem selling those. It's what every carpet cleaner knows he should have for spotting and quick fixes.
