i have a portable business that i am thinking of turning up a notch on the rotovac website there is an item called the prowler anyone have info on this unit or one like it?
kind of a cross between porta and truck |

I too, have been looking at the prowler. You can also see them on www.amtexequipment.com for about 300 dollars less. Bottom line, it's a stepping stone to a big truckmount system. There will still be more work than with a TM but less than with your current portable. Because of a much smaller blower, you will have less CFM than a TM and the parts will probably wear out quicker. Continous monitoring and preventative maintenance will help this unit last longer. On the plus side, it should do a better job than a portable with less work and less downtime than with the portable, and costs about half as much as a decent truckmount. You can get most parts for it at your local home depot and should be easier to fix than the big machine, and cheaper. It wont be a TM, but it wont be a portable, you're somewhere in between.

I don't see the advantage
I'd rather have a small TM or high power Porty
even a used TM makes more sense
you can't run it inside and you can't reasonably do a long hose run
what's the point? |
