That said you can not convince me that anything other than a good Tm, a Good Tech and Great cleaning products will ever be out done by any soda water or bonnets to get really heavily soiled carpets clean.

Find a supplier who will allow you to demo an oscillating unit using 100% pure Cotton Pads. Not synthetic bonnets and you will be convinced.

Yes, you have to buy all your stuff through them, and you pay through the nose.

That's convenient, since nobody in this thread has attempted to convince you or anyone else of anything to the contrary.

You may feel I am 'Pro' ChemDry and I am not, but I do business with many classes of carpet cleaners and see their individual lifestyles. Many ChemDry are front-runners. They are business and marketing people cleaning carpets and not carpet cleaners cleaning carpets. They have been taught to maximize profits. Most run a good operation and I know of many steam cleaners who clean up after the mess they have left and I know ChemDry people who have cleaned up after the mess that steam cleaners have left.

The last ChemDry that I spoke with told me he would never clean carpets for his new boss Home Depot at their pricing as his is two to three times higher. Let it be known that I am not promoting ChemDry but do believe in the OP System as a secondary option and always at higher prices and profit (Dry Clean). It is alive and well.

Now, after saying that...most of you should be aware that most ChemDry people have been forced by head office to use high energy portables and also truckmounts with RX-20 attachments. It would be a challenge to beat the quality that their new systems offer. If a guy can hang on to an RX-20 or Rotovac he is always assured the best of quality with minimal effort.

Long message - short answer:

Marketing and good equipment plus a smiling operator who shows up on time.
