Only if it's a solvent based sealer. If that's the case you will have to use a solvent to remove it

My fear is that it will only come off with a strong solvent. Then I won't touch it.

We did the washrooms in a clubhouse at a golf course a few years back. They wanted to replace the floor it looked so bad. Stripped all the finish off first, then etched it. The facility manager was thrilled. The tile is still there

Yeah, acid is great. But the problem is that it's resistant to all types of acid. I'll have they guys try to strip it first.
