If your supplier adjusts his/her pricing downward how many carpet cleaners will pass the savings on to their customers?

Adjusting the price for a slightly higher shipping price is understandable. So is adjusting a price for cost of brokerage (either done internally or through a broker) but it doesn't account for 25 to 40% difference in pricing. Those that are doing that don't deserve my business. And I certainly don't support a business that can't be depended upon to fix my equipment correctly.
Ted is an honest businessman. When I look at the price Ted charges for juice compared to my local distributor it is clear that I am being ripped off locally. If I can't depend on my local distributor for fair pricing or good maintenance or service what possible point do I have in dealing with them? I have found alternatives locally for repair and maintenance that are far more competent that I can depend on. As far as what I charge for my services I offer excellent value in a competitive marketplace. And that is all I am expecting, but not receiving, from my local distributor. |
