I have measured the ouside temp of my 47 blower with an IR thermometer. 210 to 235 degrees with no serious load

By the time wd40 is applied to the blower it has cooled down considerable and is not under a load and is breathing much easier?

It certainly is possible. Blowers can get above 300 degrees wile working when ambiant temps reach 100 degrees or more as is common in vans that carry slide-in machines. Less common for PTO set-ups because most heat stays outside the vehicle. Blowers usually stay under 250 degrees on them.

Could a blower get as hot as the flash point of wd 40 before seizing?

Some blower manufacturers state that a highly flammable product like WD40 could flash inside a hot blower.
