i just bought a Sandia Sniper 2-500 with heat haven't tried it yet can anybody tell me what to watch for problems pro's con's. I know your going to say should have bought a TM but your to late i already have one this is just for Apartment work ONLY

I think you'll like it. I've got a Sandia T&G machine and I like it. No cons that I can think of, except that the vacuums are in series (I believe) and I would prefer them in parallel. The body and hardware on that machine are the best around.

If you use it a lot you'll have vac problems within 6 months.
Also you will have problems with blowing breakers due to your 2 cords. Have fun

I have the same one, and I have been using it for about 10 months now and I think it works great. There are the few times when I pop a breaker but more so with homes on fuses. I always plug one power cord into the stove and the other somewhere else. You will also notice that when you turn the heat button on it will glow bright red to indicate that you have a safe current to work with but is isn't always fool proof. P.S My customers always quote on how great the carpets look. I think you will like the sniper. |

Mark my words - after a few months there will be a puddle of water hidden under the vac motors that you will not know is there!
Also after 6 months the float shut off will not work. In other words if you let the recovery tank get too full your machine will NOT automatically shut off. happy cleaning. |

splash is right about the pool of water. You have to watch out for that. In addition, because of the positioning of the vacs, if you get water into the vacs it seems to collect in the hose connecting the vacs in series. If that happens you can shake the machine back and fourth when the vacs are on and water will shoot out of the bottom each time you do it until the water gets out of the system. IT's weird.
