I know most if not all of you charge more than I do....
I'm looking for some advertising Ideas, that have worked for you...
right now I'm running a basic pricing
2 rooms $60
3 rooms $75
5 rooms 125 hall & 13Steps n/c
2005 I gave pizza and movie tickets for oreders over $150
great...but turns into a hassel when you get repeats...
please don't say free DEO....
Free Gard is out of the question...

I posted this somewhere else, but I'll tell you here too.
I use local college girls for part time helpers. I rake in the prespray and work on stubborn spots while they use the wand. Since I've been doing this, my business skyrockets in the summertime when they wear shorts and t-shirts. It's usually the guy who meets me at the door and I never get complaints. I have a special short-handled rake that I like to call my "stainguard rake". I spray, they rake. It's really amazing how much some customers are willing to pay for stainguard. By the way, I love my job. |

Mr. Steamer I don't believe in free anything? The more you have cleaned the better price I can give you. I think you should keep stairs out of your specials. They can be a very profitable add on. 13 steps $32.50 instead of priceing by the step on the invoice just say stairs x amount you don't have to tell them the price per step. Let the customer earn that price reduction? If it is free going in it has to be free going out? ------------- Just My opinion |

this has been 2 years now...by now I should have all the customers...
I just sign up for another 20 thousand dollars worth of advertising for 2007...

Do a trial in a selected area and see if it works for you. I tried it a few years ago and it worked for me. I only had a couple of custys who only took the freebee -------------

I stopped because I didn't like doing free rooms. Seriously, my business starting generating repeats and referrals. Now I only run a YP ad and nothing else. I guess I could probably do more if I advertised, but I hate spending money and getting very little in return -------------

I have at least 1500 in my database. That may not seem like a lot, but some of them represent thousands of dollars a year -------------

Good point. The more of the other guys customers you do, the less he does. Unless of course, he takes yours. Then you would be trading customers. Does that make sense?  -------------
