"A" is a waste tank I'd agree

Given there's a muffler plumbed after "B", I'd say it's a heat exchanger of some description... from memory the engine exhaust was plumbed into the top of it (with a hole just before the flange needing attention?) Or if my memory's not-so-great and it's off the vac pump, then it's still a heat exchanger I'd think. Definitely so if any water pipes are plumbed into it...

"C" will probably be a pre-filter; does it have a mesh basket inside it? If so then that's a definite!

"D" is simply an exhaust muffler

"E" is anyone's guess... is it attached to the machine in any way, shape or form?
