That's because you don't know how to market yourself Doug, first of all you should have made yourself appear more knowledable than the speaker ( in this case Lee )

Then you have to fumble around while you have afew coffee and donuts and just hang around asking useless questions and ponder if what is being taught is worth the effort to reach into your wallet for your M.C

After mention that you will agree to pay if and only if the information being taught will be valuable enough to pay for itself within 1 to 3 months within your working area.

If the speaker does not have the confidance in his own product to make such a guarantee then it's most likely a cash grab praying on the ignorance and or the over zealous individual with a lack of knowledge on any given trivial topic.
