The police simply don't understand what it takes to get customers when going door to door.

I've heard methlab clean-up can be a profitable business. One of my suppliers ran a class for it. I guess the idea was that cc guys have equipment that makes it an easy piggyback business. I don't know anything about it though, so I can't say for sure. Check with your local Sheriff's station to see ow they handle it, and you might be able to pick up some extra scratch. Just a thought.

Neat-o. My mom's from Junction. No family left there, though. I was looking at UT Arlington back in the day, but I think I found out it's a dry town. That pretty much killed it.

Trademarking isn't really an issue. Taking the name a business nearby could be. When I first googled "Steampro," I saw a bunch of Texas businesses, so I re-checked. I didn't do an exhaustive search--maybe you should, though--but I found a Steampro in San Benito and one in Brownsville. That looked to be about it for South Texas. As long as you're not in the Lower Rio Grand Valley, you'll probably be fine.

Five minutes into a Google search, I found this: http://www.uspto.gov/main/trademarks.htm
Steampro is a registered trademark for a carpet cleaning company in Iowa. Unless you're anywhere near there, you shouldn't have a problem. Do a Google search and you'll see there are "Steampro" carpet cleaning businesses all over the country. Unless these are all franchises of the Iowa business--doubt it--it's pretty clear that you'll be fine with the name. You just won't be able to claim a trademark.
