I have a Truck Mount design that will change carpet cleaning forever. I need an investor who wants to be a part of this exciting to product.
I have many years in Carpet Cleaning as well as helping with engineering for Pro Chem in the late 90's. This Truck Mount has been on the drawing board for 14 years and is ready to take over Carpet Cleaning. Please only serious respond and please be real. Thank you |

You are on the wrong board. Mostly poor broke cleaners with no money hang out here. You know, ones like Steamer that only get $5/rm or so, and have 20 kids to support all over the GTA.
Not much money to invest in other's ideas.
Go over to the ICS board and post your add there. That is where much of the rich cleaners and millionaire investors hang out. They are so rich over there, that they don'teven clean carpets anymore. Just hang out on the board there and tell others how they should do their jobs. I am sure you will get a good reception over there.

Don't trust anyone. Usually people will steal your ideas. Spend a couple hundred dollars getting legal advice with a lawyer specialist before talking to anyone. I'm someone speaking from experience. Also, get a patent if you can. Edited by FriendlyHammer - 31/July/2007 at 1:07pm |

I agree with Friendly on that last point. I too am someone that has had many of my ideas stolen by others by not doing due diligence of my inventions before talking about them. Many lawyers will give you the first 1/2 hour free to advise you. start there.

Thanks for all the advice. It is serously appreciated. We do have a Design Patent in place though but what I've learned is that that doesn't really mean anything.

Design patents can often be worked around. However, you can anticipate some of that and patent other solutions. If your idea uses stock parts, what's stopping you from making it yourself? If not, how complex are the components that aren't stock?

It is not even the parts. It is how it is put together. Think about a mini fire truck pumper except instead of pumping water to fires you are cleaning carpet.
Think about never having to crawl in a van or a box truck again and having more useable storage than either of those. Imagine taking your work area outside of the box. You would just open a compartment and you would have a control panel. It is based off of a PTO which from all my years I have found better anyways. Your Waste and Fresh Water would be built in to the body. The body alone will have a 10 year warranty and the rest comes down to manufactures warranty. Such a simple idea that the industry has completely over looked. We have designed this body to have 2 Elec. Vac hose reels that each hold 300Ft. We have a Pre Filter Box designed with 4 Vac Outlets. On the back of the box is 6" tubing going into Waste and out of the waste is 8" going to blower. Imagine having 2 solution tanks that are built in with auto fills all you do is add chemical. Imagine all this on the Chassis of a Ford Powerstroke XLT with an automatic for less than a Vortex. Keep your eyes open, it will be here and it will change working conditions forever. Sounds good to me. But what does a lowly portable guy like me know....
It sounds user-friendly, and sure would impress the customers. Edited by FriendlyHammer - 31/July/2007 at 3:53pm |

What are you talking about Paul? Steamer says he is up to .99/sq ft now in his post up above, so he gets more than you now.
