While I appreciate your enthusiasm Splash, you are wrong. The Titans are my machines, and warranteed by me, not Mytee or any of the major portable builders. I am establishing a new better level of customer care for the purchasers of them. Just because you have either experienced bad service yourself or heard of others that have, don't assume it will be the same for my machine in this regard. It will not.

But since the Titans are not sold into Canada yet until CSA certifacation is attained, it is a moot point for you anyway, isn't it?

The wonderful thing about portables is that hardly anything ever gpoes wrong with them. You change the vac motors every year or 2 and put in a new pump kit every 18 to 24 months. The only thing that ever seems to go wrong is when someone leaves them in the van and the pump freezes. Nobody is going to warrantee that.

Sounds to me like you're voiding the warranty before you even sell one. I know you would never do that.

Spash:

Let me rephrase what I said up above to make it more believeable. If a motor goes down in that first 12 month warrantee period, the portable owner must purchase a replacement motor from me to replace it with, at the regular cost plus shipping. They send me the bad motor in for re-embursement. We examine why it is not working. If a manufacturing defect, the customer will receive a total refund on the motor purchased from us. If not, they just bought another motor. This is all covered in detail in the owners manual that goes out with each machine. Either way, it at least gets our Titan customers up and running fast with little down time. Since we sell motors and pumps now, we do urge customers to buy a spare or 2 so they are ready when things go down.Haveing a couple of hundred dollars in spare parts is preferable to losing $500 or more from lost jobs.

Let's see, my 500+ psi pump went down once in 25 years (because I didn't care for it properly) and had to be rebuilt, but if anyone buys a Titan they should have hundreds of dollars in extra parts and two extra pumps on hand?  LOL!!  LOL  That certainly says it all.

Cant be too careful with haveing a few spareparts just in case Friendy. Actually, I do expect that only 1 to 2% of the machines sold in these first 12 months the machine is on the market, but Doug did ask the hypothetical question what if, so I have answered him "just in case" as well.Even if warranteed repairs reach 2% of unit sales, it is no sweat to handle things in a quick and efficient manner.

Who installs the motor?
If I buy a Ninja from Paul at Prestige in Mississauga and it goes down after a couple weeks, he's going to take care of parts and labour and get me back to work the SAME DAY.

Ken has a history of great customer service. Why wouldn't you buy from him?
