Considering that vans use gas just to get to the custy's location, I think Kenny better start investing in horses. |

Thanks to all above for your recomendations regarding the POWER BOOSTER System.
As Soil Lint Green mentioned, OUR POWER BOOSTER SYSTEM--is--DIFFERENT, and for a very, very good reason. And, always has, and that is why cloners can copy...but then again....a copy is not the same for a ton of reasons.
Remember, (and never forget) one important aspect: we have had 37 years of field testing and 30 years of FULL TIME manufacturing; not part-time.
That alone should be a great reason to make that phone call before one is sold on price alone.
Thanks to all;

"Allows you to run 3 vacs in your machine just like the Recoil 3HP does. "
NOT AT ALL, Ken. Notta close, sir.
Please feel free to sell your own products at anytime. Even point out the benefits. However, respectfully, don't try to say things that may misrepresent other products in this Industry.
The very best;

The reference to being the same was referring to having 3 vac motors in the machine, Ed. That part is exactly true. I am sure there may be some other differences to how your machine is put together that may be different.Either way, the small price of upping the vacuum power by up to 50 to 100% by spending only a couple of hundred dollars instead of thousands, makes this upgrade very worthwhile for the majority of cleaners that read this post.

If the reason you want to boost the vac power is to get the carpet you can reach with a 25' hose dryer, that's lame and you can either put in a third vac or one squirrel.
If the reason you want to boost the vac power is to do more carpet at greater distances and not even move your porty up a stair case, get the cross-american. The competition may hate him, but you'll love him. King of Zingers! |

Just to clearify...I'm just wanting to get the carpets dryer! I use a 50 foot hose now and get to most of our upstairs jobs without taking the porty up. I live in North Florida, most 2 story houses are town houses under 1500 sq ft. Anyways, so my main concern is just getting the carpet dryer. I'm saving for a TM so I dont want to spend much! I ask a lot of questions because if I had been more knowlegable before I would have just bought a TM form the start. On top of all that I have enough problems just finding 1 20 amp outlet and even when I do they still trip(i've even checked the breaker box?) So finding more than 1 would just be worse...should have just bought a tm from the start!!!!
Maybe I should just get air mover??????

A big air mover, yes that sounds like a plan. Expect to spend about 400 for that. And you might want to get the mytee converter to use the electric dryer hookup as your electric source. Cost is under 150 and flipped circuits are a thing of the past.
50' on a porty without the vac booster is not recommended. I don't see most porties sold with anything but 25' hoses. If they were sold with 50' then the distributor would probably be found liable for water damage as they are by their actions saying they are so convinced 50' works that they are willing to put their money on it. Sorry Brad, but that 50', while it might appear to be working, is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Water damage including mold are possible from carpet that was oversaturated and left that way. Do you check back in 24 hours to make sure the carpet is dry? You know the guidelines require a max of 24 hours with no exceptions. If you spot check your work and you get 100% no worries. If they say the carpet is still damp, worry. Might want to get a site tube on the wand end of the hose to see if you are extracting enough. Also, when you measure the waste water compared to the fresh water you put in the solution tank, what percentage (roughly) are you getting out of the carpet? This isn't aimed at Brad as much as it is simply reinterating guidelines that newer guys in the business need to know before taking these conversations as gospel. If the new guys screw up, they screw it up for all of us. I have been to Brad's site and he is a master at doing things his way. He's no dummy. |

Soil, I'm not trying to do things my own way, just trying to learn how to do them the right way. (thats why I ask all these quesstions) I've only started cleaning with a 50 ft hose for 4 weeks or so. The only reason I even bought a 50 ft is because I had to replace my old 25 foot and the the guy at rotovac said a 50 ft would work. As for checking the dry times, I did one of my rental houses the other day and the carpet was dry in about 6 hours. So far on any job that I checked on it took no where near 24 hours for the carpet to dry. Also, I would love to use a converter but for instance, the dryer plug at my house would require me to pull the dryer way out to get to it...What would people think? I all ready fill wierd having to use the custys utilities. If you have looked at my site and see something I am doing wrong, I would gladly take any advice to correct it. PS I'm not in this to make a quick buck. ALL of our $$$ goes right back into the business. I'm just trying to get this together so I can get out the Air Force! Doing it correctly and doing a great job are more important to me than making a buck right now! |

If you are getting dry carpet in 6 hours, that's good performance.
I use a rotovac too but only on jobs the customer is paying good money for ($500 or more for a 2 story house) and those are all day jobs because the carpet is pre-sprayed, cleaned primarily with a rotary shampooer and then rinsed only with the rotovac. That is a premier package. My low price economy pages are straight wand, single pass except on heavier soiled areas. I do love the rotovac and when I first got it I wouldn't do anything but rotovac. But even Cliff Monson in one DVD I have said limit the use. So I limit it to bigger bucks only. Jobs go faster and cheaper without it. Yet on my carpet I use nothing but the rotovac and mine is white nylon berber. Doing it ever three months keeps it clean too. :) I use that site tube to make sure the carpet is damp only and you know how fussy white carpet can be about moisture. |
