If I want to put down carpet protectant, do I spray it down and then use a fiber plus pad to agitate it into the fibers? And does the carpet have to be dry before the protectant is sprayed?

The carpet does NOT have to be dry to apply the protector.

We apply the protector and then use a carpet brush to work it into the carpet. The carpet can be wet.

The carpet should be damp when applying the protector.  Then brush it in with a grandi-brush.  Also, make sure to apply it at the rate listed on the label for best results.   Are you applying the protector to carpet after encapping?  Just wonder since you mention fiber plus pads.  If so, make sure that the protector is compatible with the encap juice you are using.

You should be able to apply protector to both wet or dry carpets.  Only difference will be the dilution rate.

No, it is not at all necessary to apply protector to only dry carpet. You can also apply to both dry and wet. But it depend on the quantity of mixture you are applying.Mixing should be done properly so that it can apply easily. _______________________________________________________ Visit for carpet cleaning tips - http://www.stupidvideos.com//video/commercials/Carpet_Cleaning__Things_To_Know/
