Electric boosters work fine, as long as the unit being boosted is also an electric unit being boosted. Electric boosters(epecially those using only 1 electric vac motor) don't work well when applied to TMs using PD blowers for one very good reason: Most PD blowers raise the lift in the system to 12" to 15" HG, while an electric 3 stage motor can only go up to 10"HG at best under very low cfm(less than 30 cfm). Meanwhile, the much larger PD blower is providing over 200 cfm. So what happens? The PD blower ends up pulling air from the much weaker electric blower. No advantage. Steamer may not be able to explain why it does not work, but at least he is smart enough to know that it doesn't. lol

I don't understand.... I run my unit at around 14hg... why the hell do I need more???? I'm cleaning carpet not un-installing it.. if I needed more suction I'd just add a bigger blower... or maybe another blower modify the pulley to run two blowers off the same unit.. that box if for someone that has no clue... it's a quick fix for someone that is either to cheap to do the right thing or is not mechanically inclined. sorry not for me... I know how to fix my two trucks... I don't need a band aide |

Sure he does Waldo, he just needs to see a compelling reason to spend money that his family needs or change his current routine. That's not clueless, just cautious. You know what's funny? I've spent a lot of time talking to both of these men by phone and email and they are both great guys. You would like each other if you met at a fest or something and didn't know who the other was....and believe me everyone....neither one of these men is stupid!! Steamey, wish you could take a trip south for a week or two, we'd love to show you some of those enhancers in action! If there is one thing Jeff loves to do it's pimp TM's.
