color repair isn't perfect it only makes it look better. i have reached perfection, but most cases it's only better. if the client is happy so am i.
nothing is impossable. it just hasn't been done yet.

I took the colour test. I'm not colour blind. I just find it hard to get the colours exactly right. Maybe I'm looking for perfection.

Anyway, I tried it before the mandatory repair course was instituted. So I already knew I didn't want to take the course or do colour repair as a service.

Tried it. I'm not good at colour matching. Don't have the patience for it. Don't want to do it.

My point exactly. The people who control the IICRC set the classes and requirements as they see fit without input from the ownership. Maybe someday when more firms and techs refuse to join or renew, they will start listening. Not likely though.

The schools are good, certification is optional, IICRC needs to re-address the colour repair requirement they have lost a lot of firms over that move, me for one. In my opinion that move was all about more schools for a few instructors and that is what I object too, plus the fact that I do not want to do colour repair.
