whats the difference...??? motor... pump....blower.. surbuilt, roots, cat, american pumps, honda, kholer, brigss, nissan this shows how dumb some people are... all these things are put into and nice little shell with a companies name on it... they use alot of the same stuff and copy each other... who cares what the name says... all things need service... be true to your service and the machine will be true to you... |

especially when it comes time to sell??
I also love the high heat that propane and kero can provide but it does become a pain having more than one fuel
a Cleanco Cruiser is identical to a Prochem Peak
the Prochem PTO is an Aquatech spacesaver except Prochem changes a few little things
I like the Powerclean machines but there is only one distributor in Canada that I know of and if you ask another CC around here what they think of them...........they don't know what you are talking about
Steamer..................not all machines are the same.....especially when it comes to the plumbing of the waste tank!!! Edited by Steaminpile |

Ok if you think so.... I've gotten my hands dirty on a lot of repairs... I can't tell one machine from another.. all this stuff is put together with parts.... the plumbing is where they catch you.... they always over do, with things that aren't needed... Keep it simple...but make no money on service and parts soon these machines will be electronically fuel injected with computer chip brains... we won't be able to service them... this will sepearte the cleaners that make money from ones that don't |

I have owned Butlers for 15 years. I have honestly had 3 ( reschedule-
able) down days in 15 years due to equipment. In the last 2 years the butler unit cost less than $100.00 of repair. I personally think they are a top notch , well designed quality unit with the carpet cleaner in mind. |

I started out with a used (1990) Butler in a GMC truck. Never had any serious problems with it. Finally last month decided to get rid of the old truck and get another one (even though the old one was still running somewhat good, it just had TONS on hours on it). The reason I love the Butler system is because of it's simple, dependable, and ease of maintenance. Honestly, I dont have much experience with other units (except Prochem when I usedta work for SEARS and the BUtler is a better unit IMO by the way). Oh..the only weak point on the Butler is the chemical feed. Seems like it stop feeding after a while. I ended up mixing my rinse in the fresh water tank in my old Butler. But...so far havent had that problem with the new one. |
