Ken where are your new machines

No Chuck, I am still making both of them. Just a change in advertising a different product is all.

The Apex is our 1/2 hp starter machine that is going to the rental market. It sells for only $999. It is made of machined steel and is 11" in diameter

The Ultra is our premium model made of machined steel  in a 17" diameter. It comes with a 3/4 hp capacitor start motor and has increased oscillation as compared to the Apex machine.This allows it to clean faster and better. It sells for $1995 and will be distributed thru a distributor network in both the USA and Canada.  All machines weigh in at 65 lbs in weight.

Ken, is it made in  India or is it only shipped from India?

I will only consider one if it is and since it has now been several months since you promised this new marvel.....welll I'm beginning to think you have gone back to your old, evil, nefarious, lying ways.

I thought you'd turned a new leaf, guess not.

Price of oil just hit another new high and if predictions of $180 a barrel oil within two years are correct OP will look a whole lot better than a tm with lips or glides

Ken's silence is deafening, this should be good if he can come up with some hairbrained answer to Barbs barb. Of course if one doesn't have a set of scales and simply guesses the shipping weight then it would make sense.

A question to Padman and kenni:

Why would you WANT them to weigh the same?

Now I realize I am just a dumb rug sucker, but by my calculations...

A 11" machine that weighs in at 65 lbs. produces .684 lb/in2 of weight on the pad.

A 17" machine that weighs in at 65 lbs. produces .286 lb/in2 of weight on the pad.

This seems like it might not be the best situation.  I'm SURE that ken has EXTENSIVELY tested this and will be HAPPY to POST his DETAILED results...or his imaginary machine will have gained weight in the last half an hour becase he discovered it right before I posted this, but he thought of it first!

How did you come up with that number?

If that was the case, why don't you use aluminum for the smaller one?  By my calculations, it could be as light at 23.75 pounds and still fall into your imaginary acceptable weight range.  I realize you may not be able to get it that light, but wouldn't lighter be better in that case.

I realize yours will truly be the lightest ever...cause it only exists in the dreamworld betwen your ears!
