I have a couple of suppliers who don't deposit my cheque till like 2-3 weeks after I mail it.
 
Is there some advantage to only going to the bank once or twice a month?

Most banks charge by the number of deposits. Less deposits, less charges. What a concept!

They have other ways of getting it that are far more effective than deposit charges.The account charges for packages are where they make the most money after mortgages and loans.
