first check out with your secretary of state to see if the name Steampro is already registered to someone else before you get to far in the process.

If it is registered by someone else you will need to choose a new name or risk getting sued.

Five minutes into a Google search, I found this: http://www.uspto.gov/main/trademarks.htm

Steampro is a registered trademark for a carpet cleaning company in Iowa. Unless you're anywhere near there, you shouldn't have a problem. Do a Google search and you'll see there are "Steampro" carpet cleaning businesses all over the country. Unless these are all franchises of the Iowa business--doubt it--it's pretty clear that you'll be fine with the name. You just won't be able to claim a trademark.

Trademarking isn't really an issue. Taking the name a business nearby could be. When I first googled "Steampro," I saw a bunch of Texas businesses, so I re-checked. I didn't do an exhaustive search--maybe you should, though--but I found a Steampro in San Benito and one in Brownsville. That looked to be about it for South Texas. As long as you're not in the Lower Rio Grand Valley, you'll probably be fine.
