I am looking to buy another machine with lots of vacuum power.
What is the most powerful portable that I can buy within 100 miles of Toronto?
I'm talking about dual 3 stage or more.

This is the Internet. Everything is within 100 miles or less. Just do your research and then go from there. Come back here for opinions on what you're considering. Keep in mind that you'll have to deal with the 15 amp limit in Canada, unless you intend to use dryer oulets.

The reason why I want a machine within 100 miles of Toronto is because I want to pick it up myself.
I don't want to order a machine over the internest because most likely it would be from the U.S and there would be a lot of shipping, duties and possibly other charges involved.
I am aware of some of the great machines like the recoil.eclipse and others but they are not available here in Ontario.
Regarding the amp limit, I plan to get a generator.
I want to basically leave the machine in the van and run a 75 or 100 ft hose.

peculier......The powerful portys on 20 amp circuits are in the USA. I live in Hamilton On and purchased my mytee from rotovac corp in seattle washington. They won't deliver outside USA but they shipped my machine to buffalo to a trucking depot(estes trucking) free. Only 45 minute drive and I picked it up myself. only paid GST at the border no duty if manufactured in the USA. It was simple no hitchs. If you find a extractor you like phone the # on the web page and talk to a live person. Rotovac was very helpful. Only deal with large major well known companies and they won't burn you. Hope this helps.

Standard warrantee applies, but I don't think I would have used the warrantee because it would be a pain sending unit back. 1 1/2 years and still no probs. If I did have a problem I would have fixed myself or taken in for repair.

Still, if I were you I'd check it out. I buy and sell stuff to and from Canada all the time. Anyone selling that stuff (assuming they are not in Canada) should have plenty of experiencewith the situation. I can tell you that nearly everything purchased over the internet has been much cheaper, even after shipping. In addition things purchased over the Internet are not taxed in the US, unless you live in the state from which it is sold.

no wasn't cheaper at the time because of the differance in the dollar but it would defenatly(spelling)be cheaper now with the higher canadian dollar.

Running 75' off a portable (any portable) you better post bonnet and leave 5 blowers in the house.
or just do like me---> splash-cash-dash....never to return
