Do any of you guys put them in you fresh water tank instead of use the metering on the machine,I am asking because I picked up a trkmount and the guy I got it from unhooked the metering gauge/divice,I can not tell where it use to hook up.
I have heard that useing the metering divice can be inaccurete sometimes and it will give trouble, this one guy I have talked to says he just uses a chemical called firststep and he says it covers all types of cleaning,he just puts in right in his fresh water tank, whata think??

We put ours in the tank. Chem meters are too inaccurate and not "employee proof" enough for me

His meter only goes to 100%. To meter Kenny's BS he needs at least 110%.

110% may even be a little low for Kenny

Bad idea putting chems in your holding tank, now they go through all components of the TM, could cause problems Last minute injection is the safest way to go.

Thats why you have to descale.. Problem solved.. Why carry all that water weight? Gas aint cheap..
You chem hose goes from your jug to the bottom of the meter (knob)then the top hose goes to the valve at the mixtank.. see red hose.. It should be similar.

Right. I know all about descaling and I do not want to do it any more than necessary, so I will not run chem in my holding tank. Do whay ever you want but it is not a good idea. |

I have never had to descale any of my units. The oldest one is now 13 years old.
I will agree with cleanex on last step being the safest though
